Well blizz doing a huge banwave shortly after so called losing the court battle is far to fishy for my liking its more likely the HB devs gave blizz the ability to detect the bot that way both parties still benefit while it gives the impression of both parties trying to prevent each other

They sued Bossland both in USA and in the UK, I don't see anywhere where blizzard lost a court battle, they even won that the owner of Bossland be liable for its... LLC company. (basically limited liability company)

I think that have been appealed and is more likely to be overruled anyway.

If you are on the HB forums, or others, someone that definitely for realzies totally not Sephirofl/Sephiroth will likely be PMing you soon if he hasn't already. He'll suggest you use Sephirofl's unban service.

Do. Not. Do. It. He's playing on your desperation and can't get you unbanned. Getting unbanned for the big HB waves is practically impossible and his method is to get you to use a proxy (and he sells a proxy, surprise!) and claim you've been hacked while demanding to see a supervisor over and over. Blizzard considers hacks to be your own fault now.

I'm not saying he has never gotten people unbanned. Just not really anymore and definitely not for the big HB bans.

Every bot is detectable now across the board...each Lua unlocker obviously has something that is triggering the detection..Blizz have gone to war on bots in a Huge way now and until some developer can come up with something thats ahead of the race from blizzard....well bot at your own peril as they say.

I understand Blizzard's frustration, to loose a case, after you have paid probably millions of $$$ to some $600-per-hour-rated attorney.

The silent truth is, that most HB banwaves and detection attempts were initiated in a short timewindow after a court hearing/decision, going not-well for Blizzard.

Prove to themselves what? The court documents are public - blizzard has won nearly every single battle multiple times against Bossland. Now they have lost several times and their main cases have been heard at the final appeals court they can go to, and it is not looking any better there than it did in their prior losses.

I started leveling a new character on friday and its still going strong. Theres 2 threads on thebuddy forum and it seems that the people who have been banned since the wave are the suicide herb botters, the people who are leveling normally seem to be doing ok.

Can confirm similar results myself. Leveling seems to be going under the radar at least for now as they seem to be focused on farming for moment. Doubt it will last by hay who knows.

Honorbuddy's glory days are long gone boys. Most of the combat routine developers are longggg gone. The bot itself has been detected for a while now. Banwaves seem to appear every 6 months now. Blizzard has a new guy in charge of warden. Honestly i hope he bans more often. Like once a month. That would really hit em hard. And show how detected it really is. Instead of lying and say oh hey guys we fixed the problem again. It should be fine to bot <--lol. May hb rip a slow death.

As posted in the EWT forums and to reliasn, the author himself, I got banned aswell. And this was basicly the same time as last year, in WoD when the honorbuddy banwave hit. And EWT users were hit alongside with it. This is ESPECIALLY annyoing, since I NERVER bot and fall under the same cathegory using EWT for such simple hacks like climbing or fly here and there. My goodness how frustrating!

None of the GM answers are interresting, none of them ever been anywhere near the anti-hack/bot developper team.
On big banwave like that, they know it slightly in advance and they are briefed, like: "0 UNBAN on that, blabla, etc".

Then the rest is totally up to the GM imagination.

And this can not happen. I can not play a game that is supervised by brainless monkeys that are not allowed to act on their own accord.
