Theory about getting Mechano-Hogs and Choppers for 5 gold

Back in Wrath of the Lich King beta the npc mount sitting outside the engineer shop in Northrend Dalaran sold these expensive mounts for testing purposes for just 5 gold, the npc was never removed simply made untargetable.

Knowing Blizzard is often lazy about things I think it could be possible that this npc is still a vendor if you could force an interaction with it somehow.

I'd imagine there is some slight possibility that you could do some packet editing and try and trick the server into letting you interact with it but that is beyond my knowledge so just tossing this info out there to see if anyone wants to play around with this and see if you can get anything from it.

If anyone gets it to work I'd love to hear about it but I'm not too interested in how just a screenshot or something would be cool.
