Is it worth botting?

Hello everyone,

I used to bot a lot about a year ago. I had 5 accounts farming gold, items etc. I used to sell gold to chinese or private and virtual items on eBay.

One day I got banned for gold selling so I decided to quit WoW forever. Now I get an idea to buy WoD, get 90 lvl and bot again. Just one account to sell virtual items - NO gold.

My question is: Is it even worth the effort? I know botting is a risky business and I can get banned again. But I do not know what the situation is right now as I did not play WoW for more than a year. Is there a chance they are going to ban me instantly? Has anything changed?

botting risks are the same since it has been released. There's always a risk to get banned.

i know people hope theres some super secret way to not getting banned but there isnt. You either get reported and banned or the game randomly detects it on your end and get banned.

No, it's not worth it. It's a bit like farming bitcoin. In the end, the cost to farm, is way more expensive then it's often worth. In the beginning - yah, totally worth it. Now? Not so much.

I tought you were saying RU battlechest keys, problem with buying from Bnet shop is that they can refuse your paypal if you buy multiple copies at the same time and that's what I was doing : buying 5 battlechest RAF them to 90 and then suicide botting

battle chest are more profitable, so i buy only them, regular wod is about 15-20$

paypal is a bottleneck, i use webmoney

on the one side, there is this kid, that wants to bot, downloads honorbuddy, uses a profile and gets banned 2 months later on his main account (not worth)

on the other side, there is this kid, who already knows how to make millions of gold on his server and uses botting to automate and spread this process onto everyother server, without getting banned.
