I got banned for selling gold and when I made a ticket simply asking what was the reasoning behind my ban and not actually appealing my ticket was sent for further investigation which reduced my penalty to 72h suspension. But I sold gold via AH trade so that might be one of the reasons why my ban was lifted if not enough proof was found.

If you are banned for abuse of the economy because you sold gold, it's pointless to even try imo.

So blizz bans plp based on game chat logs and trade logs ?or they wouldnt take this kind of action if they didnt have sold proofs ?

im banned for goldselling since half a year..no chance to become your account back.they ban ppl based on game logs, yes.
i tried many many times to unbann my account, but no chance.
im tried to send a email to senior gms - same reason.no unban.

Gold selling will get you Blizzard's most severe punishment and even get you flagged and on their watch list. From now on they will hound you whenever they see your IP or hardware and even a small innocent trade for something like 20-30k will get you ban. If you get banned for gold selling don't even bother appealing....just move on.

I get reduce a PERMA BAN for gold selling (several millions) to nothing. Took about 15 days or so but it's possible. btw my appeal was that I never sold I was just passing gold from one faction to the other and AH was the only way. All my gold is legit so probably that help me a lot...

Gold buyers are usualy safe,blizzard can send them ingame mail that gold buying is against terms of use.in some cases they can remove ur gold and thats mostly all.Always ask gold seller for auction trade method,put pets or some crafted gear on auction few hours before trade.Gold seller should make u refund if gold is removed.but again for that to happen are low chances.
