just wondering if anyone was able to get their account back since the banwave last week? i spoke to a GM on chat and they said there is nothing they can do. i might try to appeal but its not likely going to unban my account or even my g/fs account since she has the same IP even though she didnt do anything.

there was no banwave last week. just few people got banned lol. why do people through that word around so loosely now aha.

when all of a sudden lots of people get banned especially when a new type of bot is detected, imo its called a banwave. why do ppl get so uptight about these things lol

it wasnt "lots" it was few, banwave means loads of bans not few bans. no 1 is getting up tight so no need to get defensive, just correcting your use of wrong terms .

a BANWAVE is something like when glider got detected or the mass honorbuddy banning earlier this year when 95% of people using it got a 6 month ban.

a few hundred accounts banned is NOT a banwave.

I'd say it was a banwave. How do you differentiate between what banwave is and what isn't? 5k ppl banned is a banwave, but 4989 isn't? You gotta understand that A LOT of people don't whine about it on forum and create new topics. I'd say that people who do that is just a tip of an iceberg. My friend got banned for using rebot. He was always monitoring it and used it for a while just for archaeology. That day like anyone else, out of nowhere, he got hit by the banwave anyway. And if it happens for a lot of people at the same time, to me it looks like a banwave.
