Warning - About Bot Banwaves

So I retardedly got my account of 2 years banned because of gbot. Apparently the banwaves were started when Blizz noticed the ****load of bots using CTM (Click-to-move).

Basically, if you're currently using a bot that uses CTM, either be careful, or cease its CTM feature and do something else. My friend, who uses CTM in day-to-day play, was included in the banwave and he got his account banned (even though he got it unbanned later on).

I opened another account and was botting on it, but it got banned later on in the beginning of the new patch.



tl;dr

-Don't use CTM anymore, it's not safe.
-Never bot before or after a major or minor hotfix.
-Warden is your enemy. Always have some sort of user input every once in a while when botting or else it puts up a red flag.

What about hooking CGPlayer_C__ClickToMove through ASM? Is that still safe or..?

Warden is not detecting CTM changes.. it can't. The memory is volatile and would require the wow client to add checksums.

In addition to this, would you care to explain how all of the other bots utilising CTM aren't affected?

your argument isn't convincing enough...There are a huge majority of people using CTM, and blizzard is not stupid enough to ban everyone who is using CTM assuming that they are bots...
