Someone's stalking my friend...

Okay, guys. Here's the deal. My girlfriend and I have been playing WoW for awhile now, and lately she's gotten this dude stalking her. At first she didn't
report him because she didn't want to be 'mean'. But eventually, he got so
persistant, she got scared.

She really started to get scared, when he was seemingly able to follow her to
alts, encluding ones she had JUST made. Even moving to another server, he
found her. Changed to Horde, he still found her.

So my question to you guys is this... how is this guy able to find her reguardless of what character she's on. And is there any way for her to
mass ignore his account or something?

Also, she's been reporting him now, but GMs aren't always that relyable. >.>

I'll have her scan her computer again, but like it was said, it wouldn't show
where you are in-game. And he can track her down to the exact spot she's in.

You can find out if you have this by searching for ".RAT" using advanced search options on your computer. If you have it, your screwed because now you don't have your computer...your borrowing it.

A RAT is a Trojan it just allows the Hacker remote access to your computer so they can see what is on your screen, key log you, add/delete files, etc. As far as Black Orifice goes, it was created by CDC to demonstrate the security issues in Windows, and Script Kiddies started using it because of the ease of install and the nice GUI. And it is possible to remove RATS, SardonRayne . Update your anti virus Software, reboot windows into safemode (Start > Run > Type MSConfig > Click the BOOT.INI Tab > Click /Safeboot. The same process can be done once in safe mode to reverse the process, so make sure you write it down ) Once in Safe mode, start your AntiVirus and scan the computer. Make sure you do a full scan of all of your physical drives e.g. C:\ D:\ If your anti virus software picks anything up, congratulations you're the proud owner of your very own Trojan! Let the scan finish and remove all malicious objects, reverse the safe boot process and you're done.

If the guy is still finding your girlfriend after you do this, the only things I can think of is the Trojan you may have isn't a commonly used trojan or it is new and hasn't been distributed yet OR one of your friends is messing around with her? After you beat all of your friends for information and are 100% positive its not them, reformatting may be your best bet. Copy all your pictures and all of your irreplaceable information to an external hard drive, CD, etc. I wouldn't recommend copying any programs unless you absolutely have to because the .EXE fine that you run may be the file the trojan is attached to.
