concerning 1-60 level experience

In wow, Cataclysm was excusable because they essentially revamped the entire 1-60 leveling experience, but with WoD they have charged us more and given us less. My subscription is currently cancelled and I'm looking for another game to pass the time as of right now, if the next expansion looks as grim as Warlords did, I'm done with the game. how do you think of it?

A lot of people jumped ship and took refugee on private servers. Might I recommend picking your favorite expansion and joining a private server for it?
