Appears that the ban hit around 5pm PDT. I was using HB and now my account is perma.

Gonna check out ReBot on one of my other accounts a bit later see what happens there.

Rebot is very tiny compared to HB but growing.

It looks like the entire player base from what I can tell.

Seems the account ive been 24/7 farming with hb is fine and judging by the low amount of threads in hb ban section, its more rebot than anything else.

Yes it looks like rebot was hit, but not our entire player base.

No none of our devs have reported being hit "Profile developer" is just that.

I'm a mod, my accounts are fine.

yeah, i didnt even touch rebot or any other standalone botting software. I use FireHack, and used the black market visualizer a few times 2-3 weeks ago, but nobody using the BMAH Visualizier seems to have been banned. Doesnt seem like many FH users were hit either, so FH got partially detected.

Just because HB did not get hit this time around does not mean it's safe. Something Blizz is doing that they can pinpoint who are using which bot. Last month HB got hit and not Rebot and this time around is vice versa. Scary times for botters atm.

Ban hit Rebot it seems... though detection may have found other programs as well, but it does not seem to be localized on HB. However, some HB people are saying they got perma banned with this banwave, so it seems all Rebot users did, or most of em, but very few HB, but some of em. Probably some common API call that Rebot uses that HB only uses with say, select leveling profiles or something... who knows. Either way, reports are saying most people got hit with perma bans even on first offense, some people with 10 year accounts, whilst the HB bans were mostly 6 month bans, even though many were repeat offenses. I wonder why the discrepancy in punishments...

To give blizz credit, they really are cracking hard on botting now it seems, but of course, once again, if there is money to be made, the people building the botting programs will find a way around detection, again.
