bought gold, got warned by Blizzard... any tips so this doesn't happen again?

there isnt anything wrong with botted gold, they used to be only deleting the duped/scammed/stolen gold, but last two months or so it isnt the case any more. so ye, as suggested above - stick to guild bank trades or at least put some items in trade if its face to face.

ok i have been around trading for a few years and guildbank trading might be one of the safest but it isn't bulletproof 100%. a year ago Blizz delete half of my guilds( over 20 total) with gold in them and ban the guild leaders account( fortunately not my main) ..... ofcourse i opened a ticket as a member of one guild...but the response i received is that the guild i was in was violating the economy(something like that)

Bought 50K from someone on PA and a few hours later, Blizz sent me an email. I'd like to buy gold again in the future and do you guys have any tips for me so I don't get in trouble again (aside from don't buy gold)?

The question is How did you get warned by blizzard? Was it via an email? Was it via an ingame guy?

I am buying gold basicly since Wrath and never, ever got any warning or even a ban.

trade probably looked overly suspicious, should ask them to trade a few silver/copper more than ordered and also you should add an item like a pet or piece of gear to trade so it looks like your buying that item

Always remember Face To Face and add grey items during the trade is always the best. Don't use the AH or Mailbox because its so risky.

Do not use AH. Blizz is tracking AH now and I get banned for using AH to move gold from H to A... I wasn't even selling but I guess is karma or something lol

Hi guys, so I want to sell my gold in game but I don't know what is the best option to not get banned.
I guess it's: lvl 100 character + trade face to face or via guild bank?
And another question: e.g. if I want to buy a gold and I put some expensive items (pets, gear) in trade window so it looks more realistic, after that trade the seller can give me back those items immediately? or it will be looks suspicious? Thank for help and sry for bad englando.

Feels like there is more scrutiny on gold selling / buying since WoW token has come out, either bad luck with bad farmers or that. I've had several trades under 50k get flagged.

Problem is many gold sellers are flagged (i dare to say 90%) and when you buy gold well use imagination.... Avoid buying from shady sellers (avoid china, russia) and i wish you good luck! In my expirience if your buying from GB max up to 49k you should be safe.... Always when i buy 100+k my account gets banned...

So best thing is if you really want to have your account safe and you have laptop is. Go to public internet ---> Buy dump accout ---> Get some pets (tcg prefer from main) ----> post on ah and buy from your dumper (trade pets back in 1 hour via GB prefer). Yes you will lose 5% gold but who cares your account is safe =). And probably your dump account if buying 100k+ will be banned in 24 hours (not neccesary)
