Getting achievements from account banned before account wide achievement patch

My account was banned before achievements became account wide. Doesn't look like there is any possibility of getting the account unbanned, soI'm not able to log into the character that as them. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the achievements from the banned account onto the battle.net account? I've read posts about people saying they made tickets asking gms to make the achievements available and it worked, while others managed to get gms to log into the banned characters. It's probably a long shot but it can't hurt to try. Any ideas on what to say in a ticket?
