Account hacked? How could this be.

So I was botting with 5 accounts, Then all of a sudden, one gets logged off and the email is changed and shit. I then log onto my main and find that the guy is online and took all the gold from my guild bank.

The funny thing is, the only thing that I did that day was sell gold to 'appletreestore'. Now i am not blaming him for the hack, But that was the only thing I did that day (apart from botting) and the char I used to sell the gold was the one who got hacked.

When selling the gold, I didn't give away any info except my Char's name and My paypals email (Which is not the same as the accounts email.)

What could this have been from?

If your account is compromised (not 'hacked'), there are an indefinite amount of ways it could have been done. It doesn't sound like your gold selling had anything to do with it, however.

Your account name and password could have been acquired if you have any malware on your computer recording the info. (You have stated that you are a botter. How sure are you that whatever bot you use isn't collecting information? It's trivial to add malicious code to a legitimate program, and someone (not the bot maker) may have even done this.
If you've logged in to the account on any other computer, it may have happened as well.
If you use the same email/password combination on any forum, other game, or anywhere else, that site may have been compromised, and someone simply tried and found that your info was valid for wow as well.
If you use the same email, and a terrible password, it may have been guessed.
You should also remember that just because this happened yesterday, it doesn't mean that your info was gathered yesterday. When was the last time you changed your password? If it's been the same for a while, then you could have been compromised at any time.
Do you use an authenticator for your account? This could have been prevented.

I had 5 accounts online, and only 1 got logged off. None have authenticators. The password on the hacked account was a password I have never used before anywer, including the email.
Only programs I use are Arelog, honorbuddy, CD Patcher for cracked HB. Nothing else.

I don't think it's a hack, i read (on HB forum) that Blizzard changed the password in many situations.

As several others have mentioned, you probably let a trojan/malware into your system with your cracked honorbuddy. Karma is a bitch, etc.

I know I am cheap for using a Cracked HB, but lets face it, there are thousands of others doing the same. So lets get that out of the way. I think I have figured out how I lost my account since it was only one of the six I had open.
