[Theory] possible exploitation potential? [Buff +100% dmg+ instant cast]

Hey there,

sorry if this is already known but i could not find anything via search.
And sorry again if this is trivial, but I haven't played the WOTLK content... OK, so here's the thing:

I've been in ICC recently with my boomkin, farming transmog gear when suddenly I got a great buff just before the fallen guys in the blood wing.

I think it is somehow corellated to the orb inside one of those darkfallen trash groups. One of the darkfallen [or you] will get a buff that grants (I cant remember exactly) +100% dmg and instant casts (even something more, but i cant remember and cant find the spell on the internet). I think it lasted 30 or 60 seconds.

think it should be no problem for a decent geared player with a mage, boomkin or warlock to reach some mil+ dps

-I dont know how to exactly obtain the buff
-I dont know if you can take the buff past a loading screen, but if yes, I guess it could be of great +dps potential for raids etc...

If someone could explain how to get that buff (as I could only manage to get it once) it would be great...

its from the red orb in the red quarter, if u click it you get the buff, or if you kill the guy with it i assume

I'm 99.9% sure that you can't bring it past a loading screen

The buff has a time limit; you would need to cause a specific connection to lagg, and I'm pretty sure spell casting times run on the same connection as buff timers.

yes it has, but for example for some boss encounters the damage gain would be nice I guess even though I can't really imagine how much dmg would be possible to do with this buff...


Anyways, can someone maybe find that buff on wowhead or so? think there was even more +stats on it...

Duration is about 10 seconds long. Barely any time to even get to the boss never mind do anything useful.
