Banned for botting without botting.

Some weeks ago I was banned permanently (in the end, no) for "using a third party automation program". It took me A LOT of tickets of pure whine and nerdrage to unban me. I got an account with close to two years /played. Loosing that would mean a big loss to "what have I done with my life" ().

I was farming in Wintergrasp... hardcore style. At least 10h/day, often 16h+ of real farming, going round and round in circles. Thing is I have been playing on a low pop server for all years and then created a druid on high pop server, I was amazed on how fast everything sold. I was used to always have a lot of items waiting to be sold. When everything sold quick my brain got a gold boner. Ok maybe enough rambling, I had some beers and it is almost 9 am here, have not slept.

First ban:

I was clueless to why I got banned. Contacted GM (on other account or online, can not remember atm tbh.) and he told me that I was caught in their automated "anti bot" or whatever security measures. But he saw that I was a real person and apologized and unbanned me. Everything felt like it was all good. Ofc I continued hardcore farming with my newly found gold boner... Swift Spectral Tiger is mine soon was I thinking.

Second ban:

This GM was pure shit, I think he hated his life and everything on this planet. Was caught again by their automated security measures. I sent another ticket thinking that his will be over in like 15 minutes... I was wrong... so terrible wrong. Since this was my second ban this time it was a permanent. This GM did not listen or did not care that my first ban was Blizzards wrongdoing, or he simply did nor care at all. It took me like 10+ tickets of real whine and sadness mixed with nerdrage and an mail to their customer mail, in witch I whined A LOT. I was told that one of the developers had been looking into it and he found "proof with no doubt that I was a bot". Did that GM just write that without actually having a developer look into it? Or... even more scarier... did that developer find "evidence" that I was a bot even if I was not? ****ing Blizzard sucks! I could of had both Swift spectral tiger and spectral tiger by now if I did not get super paranoid for farming. In the end after all my whine I got my account unbanned with a final warning... even the slightest suspicion that I am a bot or whatever will get me banned for life.

I searched but did not find any topic like this (search function often sucks on forums). I bet some of you have been banned wroungfully for same reason. Please share and let all the whine out.

Most likely they wont unban you because youve been perma banned before.


I know once you get perma banned and reverse it, its a like 95% chance youll never get it unbanned again because they just assume first ban perma they might have got it wrong. then the 2nd time they just assume thats it, hes botting for sure this is the 2nd time we have caught them

I have been wrongfully banned before. 3 months ago actually. i wasnt even playing the game, just afking shrine, doing lfrs and arena. login one day and im perma banned. ticket them and they overturned it first go said they wrongfully banned me. But now i am VERY careful because i know, if i get banned again, it could be forever this time.

This would piss me off so much. Ive always been paranoid that I might get banned for botting when I wasnt, and not get unbanned since I previously was banned for botting.

Most likely they wont unban you because youve been perma banned before.

I know once you get perma banned and reverse it, its a like 95% chance youll never get it unbanned again because they just assume first ban perma they might have got it wrong. then the 2nd time they just assume thats it, hes botting for sure this is the 2nd time we have caught them

That seems scary as hell to me. Are even the developers to stupid to notice a bot from an irl farmer?

I have been thinking that. I could set up a live stream and get banned live. If I record will that function as proof in Blizztards eyes?

Edit: I mean that I know how to get caught in their anti bot thingys. Would be pretty fun to have it on tape

Edit2: Damn that sounds like an more and more solid solution, is Blizzard ok with ppl sending them massive videos as proof of non-botting?

Even if they're not forced by the law to go through your material, you will still most likely gain the attention needed to get you unbanned.
