Question about impending ban - help appreciated.

I sell gold to real players every now and again, I earn it via the AH, never bot.

Recently I sold to a guy, we spoke native language in whispers, added him to real ID etc and there were no mention of gold selling between us in whispers.

One week later he tells me he gets an in-game mail from Blizzard saying that his gold has been removed.

Here is when it gets fishy:

He says he got no mail from Blizz in his registered e-mail account.
He claims his mail addon deleted the Blizz mail right after he read it. So he has no screenshot or anything to back up his claim.
He asks me for more gold to cover his losses.
He randomly stops answering me and logs off Skype.

It is very likely that he was just lying to try and squeeze more gold out of me, but who knows if Blizz are actually investigating my account now.
Do I risk it and remain on my account, or do I transfer my main right off my account? Any opinions?

Just stop selling gold for a while.

If his going to report you to blizzard his account will also get the same punishment as yours.

But if he has no evidence against you, don't worry you will be fine.

Anyone who buys gold and blizzard removes it would have email evidence, his bluffing you don't fall for it.

he is just trying to fool you to give him more gold , blizzard never announces account action via in game mail , only to the registered email.

Hmm, this is what I thought aswell. That Blizzard never announces account action via in-game mail only, but I recall an occasion about 2~ years ago when Blizzard removed duped items I had purchased in trade chat and then they actually only notified the revocation of the items via in-game mail.

Hes obviously just trying to scam you for more gold. your fine until blizzard themselves contact you. Just make an alt account to play the AH and sell off that so your main wont be banned. simple as that.


Its buyers risk, dont give anyone special treatment if gold get removed or anything
