Life after WoW: How it's been since my PQR ban. Contemplation and stuff.

Since Ownedcore is the most popular WoW site where botting and exploits are A-Okay to talk about, I figured I'd share how my life went after my perma ban.

As a lot of you know, back in January 23rd 2014, many people have gotten banned due to the use of PQR, a very popular rotation bot that helped players perform complex rotations for their classes whether it's in PVP or PVE. While I knew the risks of botting in general, I took the risks anyway and handled my ban quite well.

Ironically, I was getting ready to quit the game the same week the ban hit me. When I had gotten banned, I had started to see it as a blessing in disguise because a lot of things about the game in general had started to frustrate me. So much so that I made such a lengthy, nerd ragiest (not a word, but don't care) thread on here as to why I wanted to leave WoW behind.

A few months after, I told my brother (an ex-WoW player) about my ban. He simply laughed and said something along the lines of "Way to stick it to Blizzard". Honestly, I did feel like I was sticking it to Blizzard when I used PQR and Honorbuddy. Perhaps if I had stuck with Honorbuddy with Tyrael, the ban may not have ever happened. Would I still have quit the game out of frustration even if I never had gotten banned? Looking back now, probably.

Will I ever play WoW again and start over with a clean slate? That is honestly something I have contemplated every few weeks after my ban, and it's something I'm contemplating right now. The problem is that the more I think about coming back, the more I think about the abundance of douchebags in game. The horrible community was the biggest reason why I had wanted to quit as well, and that's hardly something I want to come back to.

But who knows? If anyone at Ownedcore can give me reasons to come back, I'm all ears (or eyes in this case).

I too have yet to play since the banwave... however... the new changes that are going to be in the next expansion have grasped me because they are finally going back to their roots... maybe not the crazy talents or anything but this expansion has lots of new things that are improvements. The insane numbers are gone. The real lore is back... Mop was garbage (is still garbage).

To me it just seems a step into the right direction again.

Until WOD I will be playing wildstar and a few other games.

I would really look into rift, or guild Wars 2 or wildstar all are my top choices after wow, I like rift due to the free to play nature, and it's not pay to win, extra souls can be brought if u want them, gw2 constant patch updates and stuff going on with a once off payment, and wild star the same from what I gather the more money u make in game u can trade in game money for game time still unsure on how much gold.
