Botting on 2nd acc - Risking my main acc?

Okay, i used to be an honest Jewelcrafter, but i've come to the point where my competition can lower their stuff to a ridicilous price (at a 50% crafting cost) because they are most likely supplying themselves with ore from a bot on their own or a 2nd account.

I want to do the same but i am afraid of getting my main account banned so i'd like to buy another account (going to WoD boost it for an instant 90) and but mining and then just send all the ore over to my main account. Is this a safe way to do it? Is my main account in risk?

I've done this one time before, but that 2nd account got banned (it was on my brothers old account) - no harm done to my main acc.

I am probably just going to run it for 5-6 days a week with a 2-3 hour session during the day and another 2-3 hour session during the night with a profile that covers the entire pandaria. I wont be doing this for the highest NPH but for a safe, decent and steady income of ore each week.


What do you guys think about this? Is this a safe method?

I'm not an expert on this but I think Blizzard during investigation process for a particular account also checks for frequent trades, If any, between the account in question and any other.
It's probably safer than botting on main A/c but If I were you I wouldn't no.

depends on gm, if hes lazy he just bans all accounts your IP was logged on in the last few weeks

Well, could i register a second account under my brothers name perhaps? If the account gets banned and in the worst case my own acc gets banned i can appeal it and blame it all on "my brother". Since we live under the same IP that could work.

make an entirely new one. Plus then you could have both of them logged in at once.

Also I may as well give my two cents while I'm here. I did this, but with my girlfriend's account. I used to bot on her druid for easy herbs and mining nodes, and just sent it to my main account. Honestly, if you're only botting for some extra gold for your pocket and not botting to SELL gold, it's very very unlikely you'll get banned. In the months that I used to bot, off and on over the last four years, none of the accounts have ever been banned. I never sold gold either though, which is how multiple friends of mine have gotten banned over the years.

It's kinda like pot in the real world, at least around here. A cop won't care if you have an ounce or a bowl on you, worst case is a misdemeanor. But if you're caught with a lot and have the intention to sell, that's going to get you in some serious shit.

u see doing this will only give u the same issues as botting a second account on the same battle.net cus they gonna see u been trading gold items over etc and assume u been gold selling or buying and still take both accounts might aswell have them both on same battle.net get the joys of lvling gear mounts etc same risk and still can play the it was my brother doing it not me shit and they give u main account back but 9/10 times they only ban the account whats botting happend to me twice now my battle.net has 3 active accounts and 2 banned still botting away :P
