Is there such thing as prepaid card chargeback?

Hi guys. I just bought a few prepaid cards in game from a seller. The cards that I bought were loaded successfully to my account. However, a few hours later, my account got locked and I'm attempting to get a hold of the customer service to find out what's going on. I was sort of certain that you can't charge back on prepaid cards that's why I bought them with gold in the first place, but at this point I'm kind of doubting if that's the case. Can anyone confirm that whether you can/cannot chargeback prepaid card payment? The second possibility I can think of is that when I was charging the cards, I realized that my account had credit card subscription and I canceled it (Just got back into WoW and didn't realize I had subscription on at all). Can that be a reason why they locked my account?

OK yea I just talked to the customer service rep., and yea just as you said, even though he didn't know exactly why, but the cards were denied afterwards. I guess it's really spending gold to buy experience. So is there any guaranteed safe way to buy game time with in game gold? I used to think prepaid cards can't possibly be involved with credit card but now I'm afraid that everything is quite possible...

OK I understand. I have absolutely no intention of doing it as it goes against my morality but how exactly do you get your hands on so many stolen credit cards (I don't suppose a stolen credit card would last long)? I wanna know any gimmick that scammers use to protect myself from getting scammed.

Well it's very easy for people to get ahold of CC information on the internet. Usually untrustworthy sites, 'hacking' ... I mean just recently Target had a huge scare with it. Happens a lot.

And there is never a 'guaranteed' safe way to buy time for gold. I would be willing to bet most of those (if not all) ingame spammers are all scammers.

OK thanks for the reply. So...how exactly do I get rid of the excessive gold I have in exchange for real money? I noticed some gold selling websites are buying it. Does it involve any risk at all?

Well of course it involves risk. Anything you do that is against the ToS involves risk.

That said, selling to gold selling sites is fairly low-risk. However, they will not pay you very much. The best way to get rid of your IGG is to trade on 3rd party sites. I'm not going to state any here because it may be a taboo topic, but you can do your own research and find them.

Nobody is going to tell you how to get your hands on stolen credit cards. It's a fast-moving environment. It's also a very dumb idea to even scout it out unless you're living in some ravaged third world country like Russia or Brazil unless you really know what you're doing due to the seriousness of the crime involved. Yes, cards don't last long. Some of their purchases however do due to bank processing and investigations - this is why some services/items don't get revoked for long periods of time(which ultimately fools buyers in to thinking they're safe).

There is really no way to ensure you're not getting fraudulent goods in this black market economy for small-time services. General rule of thumb is obviously always if it's too good to be true, it is.
