I'm planning on creating a botting account to prevent the risk of getting banned on my main, and I wonder if there are any pro tips and tricks for this. Is it safe to play on the botting account with same IP as my main account etc. Should I use some kind of virtual machine?

Usually they only go after the account you bot on. Only in extreme cases they ban all the accounts associated with a IP.

Hmm, I wonder if I bot archeology with my main account with mostly monitoring it, and maybe level up other account with bot, and after that maybe some gatherin profs.

That's up to you, but there is always the risk of being banned when botting. Better off getting a $5 battlechest account banned than losing your main account in case shit hits the fan.
