WoW 5.3 Ignore List Mailbox Bug [Potential Way to DUPE items] (v.2)

I didnt quite understand this thread, but it made me think and realize:

I had 4 old letters in my mailbox.
When I tried to force this bug, I got a COD package for every letter in my mailbox. (all NPC letters, cant duplicate it with PC Letters)

Trying to force this bug with no letters either just gives me 1 package with the internal mailbox is full error, and disappearing when I close mailbox. BUT, with the NPC letters there, those packages have NOT disappeared yet.

I have yet to duplicate this with other characters that already have old inbox npc letters, but I feel that the COD package's overide any if they are in the mailbox.

The reason for this is when you do the bug, the mailbox cant retrieve the item and returns the mail back to sender. Since the mail cant be returned to the sender npc they stay there. There is no point working on this unless you want to see some stupid stuff mailed to you just for funs.
When you reload, you will see that each time 1 mail gets disappeared. If you log to your sender char you will see the mail returned them cause it couldnt find recipent as they ignored you.

lulz i just duped 2 coper, no idea wtf i did, but i looted the 2 copper logged over back on my other toon to find that the 2 copper has returned, logged back over to other bugged and he still was +2,

How did you loot the 2 copper? The mailbox stops responding when you bug it

Okay, back..ordered some pizza and 45minutes until it arrives, more time to try and make this work...

How did you do it sed- ?

I am also thinking that when I did that, I can't recall exactly, but I think I've had both characters ignoring one another, this might have another impact rather then just having the character that receives the mail be the one who ignores.

I don't have 2 active accounts but for those who do maybe try this :


Have both of the accounts active at the same time , befriended on RealID and be in the same guild for instant mails.
A ignores B then B tries sending 1 silver to A, if you see the mail on top-right side of your screen don't open the mailbox just yet.
When you see that the message arrived, have B ignore A and try doing a quick relog with both of them at the similar time.
When A and B are both relogged go to the mailbox and check what you've received, it should probably be bunch of random mails.
Afterwards, have the both chars un-ignore each other and open the mailbox, if that doesn't work try relogging on both of them at the same time and check the mailbox again on both of the chars. If both of them received 1 silver then this has been a success!

This is just an idea, get back to me with results as soon as you can.

How did you loot the 2 copper? The mailbox stops responding when you bug it

i had loot open typed /unignore ___ started spam clicking refresh on mail box while spam clicking gold, turned into a normal mail took it out and was like oh well guess it didnt work, so i logged back into the other toon to find that it sent back 2 copper, so am like wtf, logged back over and the 2 coper was still on him.

call me noob but how do you refresh mailbox? were you using any addons?

i dont think he use /reload, that reload the whole interface - not only the mail.

you can get an addon to do this or spam open mail box, after xsecounds it refreshes the mail box to see if you got mail or any changes to the mail,

Tried it your way Milance93 and it didn't work unfortunately, trying to do it as sed- said but I can't get it to work either, I am considering using the engineering mail or keeping the mail with the gold for a few hrs and after that bugging it, still not sure on how to get it to work..

If sed-, you got it to work please share, appreciate it or was it just one lucky time?!

I am pretty sure there's also an internal 'cooldown' or something like that because right now I only see the inbox it's full and I don't get to see the bugged items anymore..guess I've done it to much, I will switch characters...

i have also got it to the point to where i can send it back and gain double, sent 1copper, than got 2 copper back^^, but am off to finish some lfr Q_Q need to gain ilvl up before tuesday. Thanks op for posting this amazing bug!! lol funny so many people called it "Useless".
