Item restoration question

I was just wandering... If you accidentally delete an item, are the GM's able to find out which item you deleted?
If not, you could just tell the GM you had merciless glad wep and he'll give you a new one? ^^

well yes it was worth a shot, then again using this theroy i could charge into a battleground of 70 alliance with a level 1, and say " it was worth a shot"
