Idea exchange on how to do namechange

So I have tried to buy two namechanges in here. First one from XgamerX who could not deliver but refunded my money. Second time I got scammed 100$ from Rover11 who then stole my account and tried to sell it here. What a scumbag.

Anyway, I have given up on trying to purchase a service, and I would like to hear peoples ideas on what to submit in the thread to blizzard when doing a successful namechange?

My own idea involves using the "I was legal guardian for a minor and now he is 18 and wants it in his own name" sort of approach. Im not sure how the wording and setup should be, but that is the idea behind. If more people pitch in with ideas or experiences we might be able to do it ourselves, without getting scammed from consciousless *******s.

I always liked the "I just got married to XX, we want to change the name on the account since he changed his license name already (to your last name or some shit)".

Use that as a base, play with it.

clever. I wonder what kind of documentation they would request.

My account has a male name not really sure how to go about it then. And as Bearkin says, do you have any notion of what documentation is required?

I just want to see someone try to get away with gay marriage + wow. It would be so controversial, the customer service couldn't say "no". I'm sure they never experience it.

If it's a legal marriage I'm sure they'd honor it no matter who was involved - they'd be obliged to. If you're saying that, because gay marriage is not legal in most states, but because it's a hot button issue, they would be unable to say no to your word ("I can't prove I'm married because it's not recognized!") -- I don't see why they couldn't. The only reason they need to honor marriages are because they are a legally recognized institution for name changes, just like a legal name change for any other reason. If you called and said "I'm Gay and got married, but can't give you a license because it's not recognized in my state", well, you just shot yourself in the foot: if it's not recognized, your name wouldn't have changed (legally speaking -- all your bills, credit cards, etc would still be the same name). If you then say, "Oh, well I don't care what the state thinks, we did it anyway and I had my name changed", they can then happily ask you for the name change documentation, just like if you said "I legally changed my name for my porn career".

Well the whole marriage things will still only be solving the surname. Is that all that is required for transferring between two accounts? I was under the impression that identical names are required?

Yeah, as a theory i don't see why they wouldn't acknowledge it.

As far as I am aware to transfer characters to other accounts all you need is the same surname.

If you wish to change your name on your Battle.net account, in 99% of cases they will request some form of proof (such as a marriage document, utility bill + drivers license etc)
