Account locked, no ID.

So.......

About a year ago, I brought a wow account about a year ago. And everything went swimmingly.


So fast-forward to a couple of months ago. and someone managed to gain access to my account, so the account got locked.

BUT...

I have managed to loose the ID I had from the seller, and have no way of contacting him (Was from the pirox forums so no way of finding him)

Now I know I can just create a new account on the same battle net and keep all my mounts and stuff, but is there not an ID service that can "create" me an ID for cheap?

If Blizzard have requested ID, the only way to get it would be from providing the ID. There may be a method to do it, but most of the time it will not work and is not even worth trying in my opinion.

As for ID creating services, I personally would not recommend it at all.

We can work something out if you have all the info. For instance, account owners date of birth is not something you can make up. But yeah poke me if you got the info.

First of all I would like to state the obvious. In most countries, forging a fake ID is considered illegal and is possible to get several years imprisonment, especially if you charge and make others these IDs. If you sold these IDs to several people, all it takes is one person to get caught doing something (not necessarily related to Blizzard) and they can tell where they got it from. PayPal (or almost any other payment processor) will help and give law authorities information about you and the transaction if requested. Is it likely you will get caught? No. But is it worth doing it for a game account? No.

On a more realistic scale, if there is a tiny error in a fake ID, it's obvious to anyone with a braincell. Therefore if Blizzard notices they will not unlock your account and will look VERY closely to any more you send in. They will not trust you at all and you messed up what little chance you had.

I could give you many other reasons on a legal scale, but I assume you have a rough idea. I really do not see why people feel the need to create and use a fake ID for a game account.

As smoogels said, forging ID's is a dangerous game. If you never get caught, props to you, but if you get caught, your life is not going to be pretty for a long time.

This is just an example in Michigan where i live of some of the consequences of forging an ID: Using a Fake or Forged ID Card | Garmo & Kiste, PLC Attorneys and Counselors at Law

I still have not figured out why people here openly offer their ID when selling an account to complete strangers.

I live in a country where cyber crime unit was founded maybe 2 years ago, since then they arrested 1 guy for uploading some local TV show to rapidshare. We don't even have PayPal. So yeah, not that it bugs me much. Blizzard, when they notice its a fake, simply say "don't send us fake stuff" and that's it.

On a side note, regarding Blizzard brain cells, I've used same picture to unlock 40+ accounts.

PS It's not for a game account, its for the money lol. I couldn't care less for WoW or Blizzard. However, in my country, if a person that's not law enforcement asks you for ID, you can report them and they can get into a LOT of trouble for impersonating a police officer. So, when Blizz asks me for my ID to prove account is mine, they are breaking my law.

Afraid I do not have the DoB, so looks like that account is gone then. Was worth a try.

I did think about writing all the details down, but then thought whats the point when when I have it all in a photo ID lol, doh!

Think I will be using cloud storage alot more from now on (Atleast as a backup)

Wheres your evidence for that? Do you have EXACT crime figures for cybercrime in your country?

Any payment processor will comply with law. As for Blizzard, if they see fake ID they can potentially report it. Is it likely? Nope. But why do that for a game account...?

What? They are not impersonating a police officer? If what they did brake your law they would not sell or offer services there.

Oh boy.. Here we go:

Yup, they even made a movie about their "achievements". They ran 1 major operation called Armageddon, that focused people who upload, download, share, sell child ****** Within that, they did catch some of them and since then gone cold. I will do my best to find this movie for you.

You are again missing the point, I wouldn't do something like that because I understand the emotional value the account has for someone, but because they pay me for it. The risk isn't for someones satisfaction, its for the fee. The risk I take is also the reason why the fee is reasonably high.

They would that's the thing. When they ask me for ID and I don't comply based on domestic laws, they say there's nothing they can do for me. So basically, they don't really care that much about if its illegal as their HQ isn't located here, and running an international trial over a small matter like this is rubbish. I was just making an example.

On a side note, there are few ways to do this and not get caught. I wouldn't go into much detail here, but you need to know you can send an e-mail with completely secure content, unbreakable and unobtainable by law (at least here). NSA would break it sure.
