SoR account ban wave?

Wait. Are they LOCKED - As in you can't log into them because of suspicious activity?
or are they BANNED - As in you received a mail with a Permanent/Temporary ban notice?

Mine are untouched.

I just bought an account yesterday and it's banned. I logged into it to check everything never got to use the SoR to 80. I talked to the seller and he says i should call them because this is a automated process blizzard does. But I rather not have them look into it and put my main account into jeopardy.

I bought 2 SoR with real money and banned the day after merge

Yeah, most likely they are checking names with a new system and it auto bans if the names dont match up. Would be awesome if the chinese seller's could include the name on the account as well, but they don't know shit about what's on the accounts x.x

I've bought 3 SoR accs, and 2 of them got banned this after noon(got mail saying abuse of economy)
I did not bot nor used cheat programs, but I've bought RaF + mount on one of the account.

According to my buyer, you should only merge one account a day or so, if you don't have static IP. Other wise it will be detected by blizzards automated system.

What does Abuse of Economy mean anyway..is it as simple as flooding the market with all the stuff you continually & consistently bot? Or more to it than that ? :-)

I used gold for the one I bought. the account I traded from is fine, used a level one and deposited through a Gbank. Like Firepong is saying it's gotta be an automated system because my account was gone within 8 hours of sending the SoR.

Edit: Not sure if this matters but I didn't merge the SoR with my main account I created a new bnet for it. Any of the banned accounts care to add if they made a new bnet or merged with an existing account?

Looks like the mods have been receiving a lot of complaints about these bans, they've edited all the wts sor account threads saying it's not safe to buy them atm. I still haven't seen anything about accounts that merged to an existing bnet asap getting banned though so that might still be good. Best bets to wait it out until we get more info on it.

okay here is the good news, so I've sent GM a ticket about my 2 banned accounts and they've asked me to fill in their form and submit ID for them. Two days later, I've got my accounts back!

Wow that's awesome and I'm surprised it worked lol. I was thinking I'd need the original owner's ID if I were to run into any issues but this is certainly reassuring.

If you mean ID as in owners name, I did not have any information about previous owner of SOR account. All i submitted was information about my newly created battlenet account which i merged my sor into.
