Man, I thought it was bad when our server had 10x Swift spectral tigers up on the AH for 150k a piece...

Then the Sands of time by the hundreds for sale for like 500g a piece, and vial of the sands ending up on the AH for like 18k gold lol...

Now, some guy in trade was selling the "Reins of the Crimson Deathcharger" or whatever, the mount you get from the Shadowmourne quest chain... Guy had 15x of them and was selling em for 20k each. AH price on my server is usually about 80k for those.

Has to be a dupe...

I'm going to guess that they are old stock, crimson death chargers have been getting sold on my realm for 25k for about 2 months now.

There is no way this could be old stock... You don't get 15x of them for 20k a piece... if you even had these you;'d be selling them... I am a multi-millionaire across several of my toons and I watch the AH and control several of the markets, and in the last 2 years I have never seen any sell for less than 75k on my server, usually being 2 or less at any given time, and then BAM, out of nowhere, 15x of them at 20k a piece lol

Duping has became a big problem over the last few months, it went from queens garnets, crimson deathchargers and vial of sands to now tons of TCG mounts. I'll be honest I'd love to know how its done myself but in a way I can't help but think its a little sad that blizzard has done very little to fix it..economies on any high/medium pop servers have been destroyed and with it the prestige of having TCG mounts.

The most annoying thing about this is the way blizz deal with the problem, countless threads exsist on the forums but instead of acknowledging the problem and communicating with the community on ways they are going to fix it, they just give the generic response of "report all bugs via the ingame system and we will deal with them".

Know if WoW dupes eventually fall the same way Diablo 2 items did..eventually they'd just disappear? Or are they solid once created..

I'm not saying it isn't a dupe, just that they were probably duped a while ago and only being sold now. As far as I know the new dupe exploit is very limited and only works for certain items, could be from this but I doubt it. Do you happen to be on low pop servers? because even before the duping started crimsons were like 55k on my realm since early cata. And since the duping started 2 or so months ago they have been between 30k and 15k.

Stormscale EU haven't been hit by Spectral Tiger dupes yet. Epic are sitting at 400-500k (usually 450k+) and the sometimes ~300k when someone desperate wants it sold.
The rare sits at 350-400.

However, the Crimson Deathcharger is 28-32k and the Vial of the Sands is at it's cheapest 17k but usually 20-22k which screams dupe...
Can't wait to see where this will lead.
