{Question/Request} How to start selling gold and how gold farmers do it?

It's been quite a while since I've posted anything so please bear with me.

I'm trying to get into the gold selling gig and I'm just wondering if there is a "how to" guide that could/would provide a great amount of tips, tricks, and or methods to being a successful gold farmer.

What I know:

• Sell to friends or guildies for the best profit.

• Be safe and do not talk about your account being used for botting/selling gold for rl currency.

• Do not bot during hours that raise eyebrows.

• Do not mail large amounts of gold to anyone--other than your own account.

• Do not sell gold via AH.

• Do not spam trade/public chats about any of your services--obvious one.

• Use a vanilla account for the transactions.

Those are only a few from the top of my head. Selling gold is so low currently that I find myself selling gold for about $1/1k to friends, which I've only made about $40.00 out of in the past week. My current method of gaining gold doesn't seem to be working in the BEST way it could be. I make about 12k a day and have few people to actually sell the gold to.

I've read that some people have made up to ~$28,000 in one year after getting, and selling about 18 million gold. I have no idea where, or who they were selling to, or how they were making so much, but I'd like to know. I've also heard college students--on the web--saying that they've made from $500 to $1000 in a month.

What I'd like to know:

• How to make more gold than I currently am.

• How to find more buyers for the gold I'm selling.

• Where is a good place to advertise myself at.

• Any Guides, Tips, and Tricks on how to get started.

• What are the methods that the "chinese" farmers use--other than hacking(excluding bots)/buying gold.

I also should note that I've read of some sites on ownedcore that are reliable to sell to but they are paying small amounts of money compared to what could be making, and have made from friends.

How to make more gold:
Farm rare pets like hyactin macaw & dark wheelping & use many accounts (I got 5 accounts all except 2 running for rare pets & thoose 2 runs for herbs & ores.)

More buyers:
There's alot on the forum, they pay around 0.18 euro (I don't wanna say how much I earn on this)

Any Guides, Tips, and Tricks on how to get started.
Check HB's forum for profiles then just try them all, it's very server dependant.

What are the methods that the "chinese" farmers use--other than hacking(excluding bots)/buying gold
Probably some dupe & stolen gold.

Did you hand level all the characters among the five accounts?
I'm currently bouncing in between some Profiles and what not, however would you have any that you personally find more appealing than others?

0.18 Euro sounds dreadfully low! I'm not 100% sure about the conversion over to the US dollar, but that seems like $0.23 - $0.24 per 1k gold. Do the EU servers really have that much of a surplus that the cost is that low?

I figured that the "Chinese" had other methods of gaining large amounts of gold--other than the previously mentioned ones. But I shall not hold them to such standards.

Most people that I see selling powerleveling--another area I would like to get into--have their own profiles, so they claim, and I was wondering how hard it was to make your own custom ones. I know there are guides damn near everywhere on HB forums and perhaps on here, but that doesn't merit just how difficult making one could potentially be.

It's not hard to make gold once you find the right techniques for your server, i managed to make 3 million gold in a month with just 6 accounts botting.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm quite envious of you having six accounts. I only have three right now, but hope for more.

I've been looking for profiles that would give me an income based off from something other than the AH since the AH is quite unreliable. On my server there are quite a few botters and they crash markets more than anything else. I'm trying to find something that will be a little less inconsistent to my income.

I look forward to seeing the profiles you guys have to recommend. In the mean time I'll be trying to make my own.

I would recommend offering a powerleveling service, as some players are really lazy and would pay to have their characters leveled!

Selling gold via the ah is acctually the safest way, doin face to face, anyhting over 40k will give you an instant ban and then blizz will investigate you ( auto gold selling detect script) Get your customer to list really low value items, 10c for example, then get them to set the price to 1k,10k,100k then do multiples depending how much theyre buying.
Never sell gold via trade window or mail. And ah is the only other way and the safest.

I did 300k f2f today,still no ban.. on ah you lose 15% off the gold, best way to do it is by guild bank.

That's another thing that I noticed. People seem to have differing views on what is the safest, which makes me think that either people don't know what blizzard checks or its up to personal preference.

I really do want to start a powerleveling service, but I just need a reliable method of being able to AFK the bot(s) and let them be. Almost every profiles I've used requires, to some degree, my attention. I'm currently using "Kicks" mega leveling profiles. They work quite well but seem to get worse in the later levels. I'd like to avoid grinding at any time since I've heard that it triggers some red flags. I've also heard that leveling at odd times is another bad thing to do so leveling at a CONSTANT rate seems impossible since it triggers something on Blizzard's end.

Any suggestions would be most beneficial. I've been wondering about the Elite section of this site. Is it really worth paying monthly for or is it something that can be ignored altogether?

There is NO SAFE WAY to sell gold, like you said it up to the person own decision how to do it. I don't know if AH is "the safest" but you lose 5 % if its your faction AH and 15 % if its the neutral AH so its not worthy. The guy that said that trading more than 40k gets you automated ban, where the hell did u read this? Are you working for blizz? Stop with the theorycraft pls... I've traded hundred thousands of gold and nothing..... I've used one vanilla account for 2 months and sold over 3-4 million gold before it got banned, then the next accounts got banned even before I sold 1 million gold and now again Im using one account for 2 months.... It's entirely up to the luck tbh. About powerleveling kicks profiles are the best, I usually use them to lvl dks (55-82) and they work like a charm, they dont need my attention at all. Altho it do happens (very rarely) that the bot gets stuck sometimes but it can happen with anything anywhere anytime so its not profile fault
Also my suggestion is don't keep more than one bot per realm just because u think u will make more gold with more bots in 1 realm it doesnt mean that its true, especially if they all are farming (even if they farm diferent mats in different areas) eventually you'll be with tons and tons of mats and you will have no one to sell them to or at least not as fast as u gain them. I know a guy that has 6 bots in a single realm and makes 30-35k/day total.... Hell I have a realm where I make 20k+/day with 1 bot , Also unless Elementium ore is 60g+ and whiptail 30g+ I suggest that you drop herbalism and farm only Elementium ores, selling herbs(especially the tons of volatile life can be pain in the ass! And farming only Elementium ores will get u the same amount of gold (or even more depending on prices)

If you're selling a lot of gold, buy another vanilla account to use for trading, only if you're selling enough gold to make up for the $20 loss.
