Theory for Sands of time dupe.

After seeing this forum post Void Storage Duplicating Items - Forums - World of Warcraft I think that the dupe may have something to do with void storage, but I just can't think of a way to make the sands into a non-stackable object so I can deposit it in void storage

Perhaps try using a lag-interval?

Well the main problem with the whole theory is that sands of time is a stackable item and you can't put stackable items in void storage, so I was trying to think of a way to make it a regular item, My ideas were use wrapping paper and putting it in a bag then depositing the bag but neither worked
