I was looking at some "top dps" on Baleroc 25N, and I found something really ... surprising.

How is it possible to do an average 40k dps on monotarget ? If I look at the damage of melee attack, he's doing an average of 5k per hit. Mine is only doing 3k5 ... When I look at each of his skills, I see not a gap but a giant gap between his skill dmg and mine.
His stuff is roughly the same as mine so ... I was wondering how is it possible ?

Even if you look at some other DK with a good 391 stuff as Mionelol : World of Logs - Real Time Raid Analysis
You can see that he's "only" doing 3k6 per hit on melee ...

So, can someone help me to understand this riddle

So what it turns out is:

The pack before Beth'tilac, if you save the bird, you would get a buff that increases your DPS by 50%, and haste by 30%.

So, what people were doing, apparantly, is:

Save the firehawk. when you save it, it casts Flames of the Firehawk - Spell - World of Warcraft on you.

when you get that and get out of combat, Switch specs. After the spec has been switched, the buff bugs out and doesnt fall off.


And so, once again, another complete tier of world firsts comes under scrutiny.

im no master at world of logs, but go ahead and look through and check it out for yourself.

do i know that paragon / fth / etc did this: no.

Do they have a history of cheating there way to world firsts? yes. Nefarian says hello.

Does this throw ANOTHER tier of world firsts in doubt, again? i think so.

The EJ post mentions the bug goes away when the player dies. Doesn't seem very useful if you're still learning the fight because you probably won't one shot it...

All it's really going to do is let people cheese logs on farm content, who cares.
