Refer a Friend Grant-able Levels must read.

Quick tip i thought i'd mention to those who are doing Refer a friend leveling, you know how it works, for every 2 levels you get one, and you can boost a character from 1 -80. Well i boosted my hunter to 80 today, and noticed i still had the % of exp i did from the level i started, about half. So, if you're granting levels, i suggest you get like, less then a bar away from level 2 or w/e. Then grant levels, so you only have to level 4 times to hit 85. ^.^

well since you can only grant 40 you would wait until you manually leveled it up to level 40.99 then grant 40 levels.

ummm from my understanding levels can only be granted to the lvl of the person granting them f.ex raf friend is lvl 10 reffer is lvl 6 only 4 lvl s could be granted putting reffer at lvl 10 and not lvl 11

No haha they stack! ^^ You can get 40 on one toon, and 40 on another. But i think you're right when you say you can't grant them to levels higher then you are. So, if you level two characters manually to 80, with the 300% exp of course, you get 80 levels to grant, use 40 from one character, and 40 from another, on the same character. ^^

2 level 80s = 40 levels each, you can level them up to your level not over (IE; 80).

Also, its been that way since RAF was released if i'm not mistaking. Just to level 60 of course, till the other day. :P

tbh i misread OP post....thought he was posting a theory on granting levels over lvl 80. dur dur dur sorry....on another note EXTREMELY OLD and common knowledge.

might as well make a post like if you daisy chain raf account then account 4 could grant account 3 40 lvls, account 3 could grant account 2 60 lvls, then account 2 could grant account 1 70 lvls. so on and so forth...blah...glad you figured out something thats straight common knowledge.

i got an even better one for ya...say your friend makes a night elf and you make a human, you can summon the person by clicking their character portait while in group and clicking the sumon gfriend option and you will both be in the same starting zone! zOMG....again blah

reread again and i see you are trying to take note that your xp % stays the same when granting levels. yeah common knowledge been this way since raf started. nothign new to report...

Actually i don't think its common knowledge. I figured it would reset at 80, and not being able to get a full 80-81 level, and what do you mean why repost it now? I've search before i posted and didn't find a single topic about this. If its so much common knowledge, please, post more on this site.

I'm gonna assume your drunk/high. When i say it's been that way since RAF was released, i'm talking about the grantable levels, you could always grant levels to characters that were lower then you, from any other character you had manually earned levels on. However, i don't know how long the % of EXP stayed past 80. I'm assuming its a bug honestly, i dont think blizzard wants you to get a whole free level past the grantable level cap from just killing a few things at level 1. Also, maybe you should take your time when you read posts.
