Im dont mean what I am saying to cause an argument I'm just expressing my opinion. I've not said I think the rep is a bad idea I just think that someone who pays should be able to get access to everything.-.- do you lack intelligence ?Do you lack a brain?
Why elite discussions aren't for donators.
Donator:Wow! Only 15$ a month for all of this leet stuff, hey fred come look at this.
3 days laterFred: Hey Dave come look at this.
Dave: Hey Johnna come look at this.
Johnna: Hey Kayla, come look at this.
Kayla:I'm gonna tell my gm about this!
Kayla's GM: Hey guild look at this!Patch DayBlizzard:[Leetness discovery] Has been hotfixed and all abusers have been banned. Also we are re-releasing old content for 85 because we ran out of ideas again.

I think GoneGanjas example is spot on, if donators were able to see all the stuff from the exclusive forums, all the content from those would simply move to another private place, you cant buy exclusivity - you have to earn it.
So you donate $15 and can see the staff section even tho your not staff? I dont think so. You donate to support the site, the fact you gain access to other areas is just a bonus.
If you need me you have my skype, if you don't have my skype then you don't need me.
This thread reeks of WoLK Entitlement Syndrome.
This is a question of who would you prefer to tell your secret the most:
A) to a person who pays to hear all your secrets and by doing so helps you with getting more of them.
B) to a person who is known to have secrets himself and also willing to share them wisely, and case dependently, among others ?
Reputation, in a way, helps us with the question of choosing who is most likely trustworthy and who, with a chance, not. Reputation is not something one could gain without a 'related effort' -you must have done something yourself and so earned the community's trust.
On the other hand, cash keeps the world running, and this site (last time I checked) is still ran on earth. We need donators, they do a great job on keeping this site alive! (so do the advertisements, but I won't go into that just right now)
But why can't we have both? Actually we do need both! Without donations the site would be impossible to keep on running, and without contributions there would be no reason for the site to be running at all.
Donators can contribute as well if they want access to the rank specific sections (if they had instant access to every section people would get off the site and set-up private communities dedicated for exploits that are not to be leaked
or that can be shared only among people that are known to be trustworthy). Members with an amount of reputation are as well able to donate for the site whenever they feel like. Then why would a legendary user
do this? Being thankful for all the things this community has given/taught over the years is a common reason, but certainly not the only one.
I suggest everyone to take a look on the wonderful amount of things that are made public just for you! If you want it all, you can do the best you can to have it, but remember there are always things left you need to reach.
Maybe some day you will have it all, but isn't life more exciting when you cannot know what's coming to you just around the corner.
</philosophy>
TL;DR - Donators keep this site running, we love you! Contributing members keep this site running as well, we love you too! (Contributing donating members, marry me already pl0x <33)
Money can not be used for everything. Nor can one make a living out of nothing. Stop flaming people, this is not something we should really argue about :3
EDIT: Keep the discussion away from the flamewars or I will have to close this thread ;<

I'm quite happy with the access I have, the Elite Guides and Elite Exploits sections are gold.
Well all i can contribute to this thread is:
If you don't like the features you get by donating don't donate?
Ive been a donator before and i can tell you that it is really good the area's you get access too so it's worth it![]()
That's wierd, because I remember someone from here talking to me on Yahoo IM, and they were telling me for a sizeable donation (like 500+ dollars) you could get access to everything. Is that actually true or would something that big not be accepted?
That is not true. The -only- way to get access to the reputation sections is through reputation.
However, people who post in the higher up sections have been known to sell the information in what they have posted, so if someone did post and wants to sell then effectively you would be buying your way in. But that's up to he author.
How long after you donate does it take for your account to change. I donated quite a while ago and I still don't have access to the donor features.
