Small info on account bans and ip's

Hey guys,


There are loads of threads of people saying:

"Wah wah wah I hacked and got banned, will my main on the same/different b.net account get banned as well?"

"Wah wah wah I hacked, will my other account with the same ip get banned?"

So as many people do not seem to know:

• Your other account will remain the same, no ban nothing.
• Blizzard don't ip ban (unless your a chinese spammer fgt)
• If one account is perm banned another account on the SAME b.net will be unaffected.

Ill add to this but im going brb to shops

hi, i think blizz looks at IPs, some weeks ago got suspens on 8 acc same time diff servers
diff Bnet accs same IP.
or i have this day use a prog for memory clean every few min and was prob with warden

They may look at your IP to see if your others accounts are botting, but they do not ban your other bnet accounts unless they are also guilty of ________.

Unforunately, this isn't completely true. Blizzard has a more permanent ban than the traditional 'permanent ban'. It is called an IP ban, where they ban your IP address. It is effective, though, not just for WoW, but for 'All Blizzard Products'. You don't hear about the secondary effects, though, because of how rare it is (Such as someone using 20+ bots from the same network, and doesn't stop when Blizzard tells them to).

Bliz will temp suspension or ban all online bot and even account play by hand on the same adsl or cable connection.
