Yea, since the host isn't cooperating, I am sure it will be a good week before it is up on a different host, again.

Don't think it'd take THAT long. Maybe a day or two to resolve the issue. And even then, you can STILL play. xD We'd also get additional sub time, which is fine by me. This week hasn't even been great for raiding, so I've been sitting out and still get DKP. Missin on Valor, but meh.

Now, dns records say nothing is found for that domain. Seems odd, because if they put in for a new host, they would have changed nameservers and some dns tools would already be registering the new location.

Anyone talk to them outside of the site at all?

Same here. Would really like some sort of official update from Chaotic or perhaps one of the mods. Having problems is inevitable, but choosing whether or not to communicate with your customers IS, however, under their control.

I was able to sum up the timeline of what all happened.

We start with 78.47.17.37 about 6-8 months ago -> move to 77.91.227.121 with 'fixes' to prevent ddos, hack is usable for about 2 months, then kiddies come ddos the site and make site unusable, then ddos stops after a few weeks and things are fine for about 2.5 months, then hdd crash about a week ago, host is unresponsive and chaotic buys a new host in meantime -> 193.107.17.37, works fine for a while, but then gets caught under a wide ip range ban (193.107.16.0 - 193.107.19.255, see this link) due to spam servers being hosted on the range of IPs. skillhackers is just caught in the fray.

So we sit here with our thumb up our behinds waiting for yet another server.

Wow, fun series of events rolling out. Whoever the host is must be a pretty bad company, I've had my share of issues with hosts in the past personally and nothing is more frustrating than incompetent or unreliable hosts. To do a wide spread IP ban on a range like that is a poor way at handling matters to say the least.

So basically we're down until further notice? I'd be on my hosts ass, potential business could be lost due to their methods, 2 days is ridiculous.

Your DNS cache must be old. The Kloxo website was 77.91.227.121
