The fog is there for you not to see stuff that wow doesnt render. The fog makes it look much better than just having the world "end" at certain point.

All i am aware of, like you said is the command to greatly increase your view distance. If i recall there were some posts a while back on increasing the WoW quality, or something along those lines, they had something to help make you see infinitely. I don't know if it was the same command or something different, try doing some searches, might still be there

    But IMO

If you'r going to try this you better have nice hardware to handle the FPS drop.

Do you have your "View distance" maxed out in Video Options?
What you may look for is a cmd or addon that allows you to see even far in the distance than you can max in the options, not a fog remover.

Personally i don't know any cmd that allows you to see further than what wow lets you, but... i'll try to findout something about it.
There are some addons that i've used that will increase wow image quallity, but not view distance and the FPS drop is huge.

EDIT: Remember that there are certain zones that have alot of fog, but is meant to be like that. Thats just ambience, like Feralas, thats just the zone setting.

For the ones wondering, command for further camera view than the settings menu allows: /console cameradistancemaxfactor 9
(Every guild should have this required of every member to have it on..)

Yeah almost every1 uses it, but this thread isn't about zooming out....i guess....can't truely be sure till he posts a screen, but for what i understood, he wants to get rid of that specific zone fog like Feralas and Swamp of Sorrows and some more zones ugly fog, or he wants to see further in the distance where mountains etc start loosing its rendering and you can only picture them as a blue nonrendered mountain.

Geforce 6 series (6800 agp worked for me) is unable to render fog in WoW. Unfortunately, the draw distance is severely limited by the small 128MB of memory. So, if your willing to take a HUGE performance hit by using a 10 year old vid card, you can get rid of fog Clearly not a very good option, but it makes me wonder is there is some video card driver feature that you could block/deactivate to disable all fog effects.

Oh and farclip does go higher than the slider in the video options allows for. use /console farclip to set the farclip. I think the max for the slider bar is 1277, and I think the actual max value is 1400, hope this helps a bit.

Edit: Just went outside of dal to test the max farclip value, The max value I can notice a difference at is actually 1600. Please note this will do nothing for fog in the old world zones, because the fog in certain old world zones is controlled by a preset value for that zone, and not by the farclip value(unless farclip is less than the preset value)

There's a machinima tool still I believe created by the guy behind WoWinfinity. Which has the options of removing fog, changing colours, etc. I used to use it in AB to remove fog on bad weather days and see player as far away as wow could render them.
