Big isn't the issue, getting PAYED big is the problem. If you're charging people as much/often as Scapegaming did, you'll get screwed. But if you find yourself making more money than needed, and you put a limit on donations.. you'll be fine, and Blizzard will ignore you and label you 'harmless'.

Granted, if they really wanted to they could just go after every private server, but that's way too much work without any profit, lol.

    A couple of things.

    1. Allison Peyton, or PeyPey, is a chick. Not a dude.
    2. She was a money hungry bastard that pocketed donations and didn't funnel towards servers.
    3. WoWScape was sued. Not Peyton. You cannot sue an individual for a companies fault. She founded the company, so her company is underfire. The 88$M that was awarded is ordered to be payed by the company. Since WoWScape does not have 88$M, they have to file a chap 13 bankruptcy. Because Peyton is the CEO of the company she now also has to liquidate what she has to go down with the sinking company. She will get a CHAP 11 Supplement and Settlement probably in a few months. She will pay Blizzard about 20,000$ of the 88$M and then claim bankruptcy herself. Blizzard will have the option to own WoWScape, or to file a dismissal of debt, and use whats known as a business chance. It allows the company to file for non-monopoly based funding, to try and grant themselves back up into starting up again with capital venture. I am going to assume Blizzard will take over, and close it down.
    Still working :-P

And don't go QQ "OH NO ALL EMULATION IS GONNA DIEEEEE"... Blizzard took action to a few of the top servers as they were literally making mass money (wowscape = $100,000 a month from donations)... If blizzard wanted to destroy emulation they could do it with ease, the question is why do they let it continue?

The reason they let us continue is (my guess) because they actually gain a tiny amount of inspiration from us :P + they improve their game by looking at forums like mmowned.com

This is all my theory though, but I think that's a good reason

About 85% of the statistics are made up.

Because it isn't possible to stop it with ease. They would use a lot of unnecessary resources to stop it, and even then you can't stop it completely.
