Gm Uncovered

Not sure if it's stillpossible since after going there a few times back when BC first came out I haven;t had the interest BUT it certainly WAS possible to get there. There was an altered patch.mpq file floating around that when dropped in your wow folder would alter the course of the zeppelin from org-booty bay and bring you to GM island. This was NOT the instanced gm island but more of a placeholder it had the house the lake and the misc things there but not the portals and everything the old gm island that IS now isntanced had.

Basically you had to get on the zep log out reload with the mpq in your folder and stay on the zep for seriously like 30 minutes before it would get there.

The above file was for teh boat from darkshore to darnassus because I couldn;t find where I saved my horde one.

It IS indeed possible.
There are like 100 posts about getting to GM Island all over forums.

Btw, a little about 'gm's....
1. GM's always have their cloak on, and always have a <GM. tag. EVEN if they took off their cloak, they would still have a <GM> tag.
2. A GM would never act like a normal player. If he wanted to play as a normal toon, he could make another one on his own time.
3.Only senior GM's are seen running around. If you see a GM (someone w/ the cloak and the <GM> tage), they are prolly a senior GM asisting someone with something like a loot or item malfunction. If you submit a ticket to a GM about a looting function problem, you will usually be bumped up to meeting a senior GM to help with the problem.
4. The reason you never see GM's on GM island is because the GM island we all come to know and love is not the GM island the GM's go to. It is just a replica so that blizz has a physical model of what to base the area off of. The REAL GM island is only avaible to GM's through teleportation and is not just empty. Think about it, why would GM island be empty? Because it is not the 'true' GM island.

yeah exactly 1.12 version, they fixed it in 2.0.3, theres no way w/o haxx to get to gm island, when isay haxx i mean tele to plane. and there not 100s of threads all of the forums theres like 4 and all of them are NERFED, k thx now lets put a halt to all these "omg i saw a gm in chat, or i foundz a way to get to gm island 2.1.3" cuz there isnt a way, and unless u can proove it then stop posting these dumb gm island theories

you can allways get to gm island by using wow thing.. you can teleport to gm island. And he's level 1, maybe it's just a trial acc.

I have seen this on my server a couple times... Not sure if they're real GM's or people who exploited to get there

Funny thing is for the first time in ages other day I actualy saw peeps there (whisltes hiding behind teh large tree) but go scared and loged

I assure you there is NO way to get there without hacks. tho if u just willing to see it use WoW Map Viewer tool, its north west of NE starting zone (forgot already the name of it).Thats the safest way to just see it without getting banned.
Im 100% sure there is nothing interesting in there except for a house,GY, and tree. GMs learned their lesson when they were spawning goods on their old island south of tanaris (still can swim there). All this stuff where you can see people in there is all about the hacks, or GMs testing something out. There was a case on Gorgonnash, US, Horde, where one dude got a <GM> mark near his name, and nobody could see him (just his pet, his pet tho was enemy to all of us, but we couldnt attack it). He was spamming some crap in chat, but he couldnt get any of GM commands working and stuff... But i didnt go taking screenies and posting about it on forums. Nothing really special about this is very common, especially the thing where you see someone using /who on GM island.

Oh and thanks for the guide NEFASTARU, it will help some ppl out who REALLY want to get there in game.

Every once in a while I'll see people on GM island. Last one I saw was about a month ago. It is possible, whether or not it is a player or GM on GM island is unknown to me.

I do believe him, I also type /who Arzathog. One day he was level 1, then I looked the next day and he was level 70. So unless he has super mad awesome leveling skills, he is a GM.

This is easily a private server or PTR beacuse he or she searched up level 1 and there would be alot more...if on Offical and on PTR there would be more people waiting for their premades.....and second on PTR you cant search up A gamemaster...
