[Help] Change Name on Battle.ner Account.

I was wondering if there is a way i can change the name my battle.net account is registered in. I need to change it because of the new Real ID, thing.

Log onto your battle.net id -> Contact & shipping adress-> Change info -> save

Edit: make sure it's your battlenet acc, and not just WoW

blizz gave up that. no need to change ur name, buddy. but if you insist,
i suggest you make a screen shot of all changes, to let you not forget the information.

Just to let you know that doesn't change your info. It only changes the shipping info, your RealID name would still show.

since you can't change your name on the b.net account management page, the only thing you can do is call billing (international phone numbers can be found here) and make up some story as to why it needs to be changed.

ex: "oh, my girlfriend/boyfriend made the account for me, but they didn't know any better and put it in their name, blah blah blah."

i don't know what will be required to verify that you're the real account owner, though. just have the secret question/answer, any cd keys, and a copy of your id on hand. but don't get your hopes up!

I'm pretty sure they wouldn't do that as it would be a violation of the ToU/EULA to do such a thing.

i never claimed it was guaranteed to work. it was merely a suggestion that i've seen gms and other fellow players mention before. (:

it wouldn't hurt to try at least. the worst that'll happen is that dobbs will be told he's s.o.l.

If your dad made it for you when you were 10 years old, then you can get it changed, all you have to do is have him call, and you with him. They will most likely require both of you to email picture ids, etc to get it done though. It's in the ToS / ToU that this can be completed.

you should've mentioned that in your first post! now i feel silly. ):

don't waste time with gms in-game. just do what attackspeeds said - it'll only take an hour tops, then you'll be good to go! :)
