Anyone else thought about how filthy rich Blizzard must be?

So, I was thinking about all those monthy fees Blizzard gets, and did a few calculations to figure out that blizzard makes on average:

    63 dollars per second

    225,878 dollars per hour

    5,421,060 dollars per day

    165,000,000 dollars per month

    1,980,000,000 dollars per year

And a total of 11,071,500,000 dollars since it WOW was released.

This is just from the fees, though. It does not count any of the money from buying the game, in game pets, trading cards/boardgame rpgs, or any of Blizzard's other franchises. My main question is where does it all go? I know they must have a lot of employees, to get out the patches every month, and they have to keep the servers up and running, but still, thats a LOT of money. Any comments?

Anyone else thought about how filthy rich Blizzard must be?

Take out how much they have to pay for staff, development, distribution, legal, website, the actual 100+ realm hosts and all the equipment for their headquarters, ie program/software licenses and the computers, all of that and that's just Warcraft, what about all their other games? Still their profit is massive but so is every other big business.

They're also developing Starcraft II, Diablo III, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, and their secret MMO project. I'd imagine that costs quite a bit.

Let's also think about the staff in Blizzard. They have technical support, internal support, customer support, quality assurance, the actual development teams (story, balancing, programming, art, graphics) * 4, website development team, management, architecture development (Battle.net 2.0, multiple games), management, server administrators, network administrators. All of that is just off the top of my head, i'm probably missing quite a few more jobs.

They also pay for the massive Blizzard building, server costs, and they operate Blizzcon at a loss.

EDIT: Come to think of it, they also have the aforementioned support teams for multiple languages. I also missed quite a few jobs.

EDIT2: In fact, they also have support teams and servers for older games, including Diablo 2, Warcraft III, and Starcraft.

The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed.

I just found this on wow.com: How much money Blizzard is really making from 10 million subscribers I don't think it's fair that people in aisa have to pay less than we do.

All that plus, Blizzard doesn't get the whole $15 per month from subscribers. There's credit card processing fees, discounts of multi-month intervals, packaging and retail costs for game cards, etc. There's also business taxes and employee tax :P

Where are you getting these numbers, by the way people in china JUST FOR ONE EXAMPLE, pay by the hour, not a monthly fee, and not NEARLY 15$ a month, last i remember, less than 1 USD?

    You cant just say hmm 11 million people = 11,000,000 * 15

You have to figure out just how many people live in what country and what they pay, which only blizz knows
