Account Merging Questions

Hey there. I have a few questions about merging a family member's account into my own using the merge function in my Battlenet profile. The account I want to merge does not have Battlenet so I'm thinking that I can dodge the WoW Forums ban by merging the account into mine and then transferring my main to that account. Now I am quite severely lost. My current account is under a different first and last name (fake) and my brother's account is under his first and last name. I am thinking of merging his non-battlenet account into mine so then I can transfer my character to his and then go from there...is this possible? Questions:

1. Do I need to change contact info? My account, or the account I want to merge with?

2. Will this dodge the forum ban? Will blizz track my character moving to that new account?

3. Is this by any means account bannable? What are the risks?

4. If anyone has experience, can you please walk me through the process if you have done this kind of thing before?
