Thank you, that worked for me as well. Most likely another client bug that should be fixed in the next patch.

Just set the view distance to the min. It still crashes on someplaces, but at least it's stable.

It must be a bug, because that cave is beneath the Searing Gorge, and you can enter through the Cauldron area, in the middle of the mentioned zone.

In video effects the SUNSHAFTS option doesn't seem to work for me :/

Is it working on everything or on special objects ?

If an object directly blocks the sun, there should be rays around the object. This, of course, depends on the area as well. It does not work in all zones. If it doesn't work now, then I have no idea. The sandbox should have nothing at all to do with the graphics, as it is client side only.
