Account Locked - A couple questions

Hopefully I'm not mistaken in assuming people here have experience with accounts getting locked.

Back last fall I felt like playing some WoW again. My account was frozen at the time and I didn't feel like paying cash to renew at that time. So I got on Craigslist and posted an ad, 6000g for someone to pay for 3 months gametime on my account.

Well I got a chinese farmer to respond, he gladly took my gold and I let him log in to my account management page to renew with his credit card since I couldn't convince him to buy a time card for me.

Surprise! He used a stolen credit card and the owner filed a charge back resulting in a $45 dollar fine on my account and they locked it.

So I'm wondering if I call Blizz and ask about this if I'll be able to get my account turned back on, 3-4 months later. I was thinking I'd tell them, if they ask of course, that a friend payed for my game time as a gift but ran in to financial trouble or stolen identity or somthing and ended up filing a charge back. I don't really know though.

If anyone has advice or knows if I can get my account turned back on with no trouble (other than paying the 45 dollars of course), please let me know

just tell blizzard you were hacked, with all hacking going on on wow accounts, i am sure you can blame all this crap on Unknown hacker.

Pay the 45 dollars.

If there was a charge back and stuff, it's likely cost Blizzard at least that much...it's a pain and a hassle for them to have to deal with it....just like you see almost every store with a sign about the fee for a returned check. I would guess it's a 0% chance they just forget about it...

Plus remember...it was charged back...so now essentially you haven't paid for that 3 months of time...so you now owe them for those 3 months you already paid plus any fees...they're not just going to be like "sure keep playing!" no matter what you say to them. =p

Obvious troll is obvious...but it's also a bad one... So he's supposed to tell Blizzard that someone hacked his account...and with this knowledge what did they do...did they steal his stuff? No....did they otherwise exploit his account and its resources? No....they PAID FOR MORE GAME TIME... Quite the friendly neighborhood hacker LOL.

They don't care lol, just call them and they will make you pay for it. Pay the 45 bucks and move on. You will need a credit card I believe. Make sure it has at least your last name on it, the same one that's on the account.
