If I know someone's password, get on their account, take all their gold, and they tell a GM that they were robbed, is there anything a GM can do about it? Or is it safe?

Actually, yeah. joetherogue has a point. If you send all your money to an enemy, GM's will look into that, and will propably ban him ,and restore all the crap for you. (NOTE: GM's will not reimburse BOE's and gems in items).
