To do this whole guide will take 2-4 hours between downloading and backing-up files.
Whats in this guide:
Installation of WoW 2.4.3 without downgrading (using WinRAR)
Working with MPQs to add your own files, We're using wotlk tiles (snow and what not) using WinMPQ, MyWarcraft Studio, and ShadowFlare's MPQ software.
Installing noggit 1.3
Noggit basics, navigating maps with noggit, re-tile-ing with Noggit.
You can make hills and stuff but I am not promoting it, THIS IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THE GUIDE!

WHEN YOU FIRST TRY OUT YOUR 2.4.3 DO NO SHUT YOUR MUSIC OFF, YOU NEED IT ON TO PROPERLY TEST IT!

Alright so a lot of ppl make up bulls*** topics about this especially on ..., I
never liked their site. Anyways so throughout tryin to get back to tbc 2.4.3 I've
done a lot of thinkin and working with some of shadowflare's software that was
used on SC/WC back in the day. Most of you entrepreneur's out there can't edit
most of the mpq's. You've found out that WinMpq says archive is too large, then
you jumped over to Mywarcraftstudio ITS TOO ****IN SLOW! Well This is Part:1 im
going to show you how to use 3 programs on messing with MPQs and some minor
noggit. NOTE THAT WOTLK DOES NOT LET NOGGIT DO ITS THING, THIS IS PART 1, WE'RE
GOING TO BE RECREATING A WOTLK ENVIROMENT ON A 2.4.3!

This is for people with experience using jovhed's server software. I'm teaching MPQ 101.

CREATE A NEW FOLDER SOMEWHERE CALL IT "Resources" PUT ALL DOWNLOADS IN IT!

To start off here's a link to wow 2.3.0

Then we're gonna want to patch to 2.4.3 TBC (NOTHING HIGHER WILL WORK!) But dont install till I give the Okay.

Alrighty so lets begin this epic task of "NOGGITING YOUR WORLD"
To start anyone who has not bought WoW, TBC, and WOTLK (ALL 3) please do not
continue since you have not bought this product. It is against the law to install
this without the purchase of these games! Aswell once your 40-day trial of winrar
expires you should purchase a cd-key! I own all 3 WoW and play weekly, I own this
software and like any game I can do what i please with it so long as I aint
profiting. The rest of this software is FREE! its pubilic development.

STEP 1:
So now that my worries are done with lets actually begin. [Uninstall WOW AT YOUR
OWN RISK, reinstall if something went wrong] Alright so you've patched to the
latest ver of wow since you love playing with your friends on retail, don't down
patch. Open WinRaR or install it now. Now locate your Retail WoW folder, since
around 3.0.1 wow should be installed in something like: "C:\Users\Public\Games\"
If you're having trouble finding it, look for your wow icon on ur desktop, right
click and select "open file location" then up pops the folder, now I want you to
go up one level ("C:\Users\Public\Games\World of warcraft" to
"C:\Users\Public\Games") You should now see your "world of warcraft" folder right
click on it and select Add to "World of Warcraft.rar" it will probably compress it
for about 1/2-2 hours so go mow the lawn. You may want to rename it to something
youll remember or "WoW322a"

STEP 2:
Alright so now the grass is cutt you played your 360 to death, if your wasted out
of your face have a nap, its up 2 you. Now that winrar has completly created
"World of Warcraft.rar" want you want to do is use either "World of Warcraft -
Uninstall" or if you cant find it go to your control panel and use "Add/remove a
program", if your using vista select "Classic View" on the far top left and find
"Programs and Features". Once the list is created find wow and uninstall it. If
you get a message saying cannot delete the following files select your wow folder
and delete it, you've already backed everything up!

STEP 3:
Next step, INSTALLING WOW 2.3.0.7561 AND PATCHING
Now run the client, it will download all the files it needs from blizz's servers.
Once the installer pops up choose a directory you want, Ex: "C:\Program
Files\World of Warcraft Jesus modded" or "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft BLAH
BLAH I REMEMBER THIS PATH"

Now remember where you installed it, this is optional but you can back this ver of
wow up repeating STEP 1 using winRAR, you might wanna rename it to something like
WoW230.rar so u can tell it apart. Now we're going to patch to 2.4.3, select all
of the updates from the Resources folder and drop them into your Wow 2.3.0 folder.

Execute them in order to properly patch. DO NOT LET BLIZZ UPDATE YOUR WOW! Close
wow everytime and run the next patch.

STEP 4:
Alright so your looking pretty psych'd, now we're gonna create a ArcEmu for 2.4.3
server.

Its fairly easy and the majority of you on his site already kno how to set this
all up.
But why break character now, execute "ArcEmu for 2.4.3.exe" in your "Resources"
folder, choose a destignated folder. Once its all extracted open the folder and
find "AD.exe", what your gonna do with it is drop it into your World of warcraft
folder and run "Ad.exe". It will run for awhile creating a folder called "maps",
once its done copy the folder called "maps" and place it into your "ArcEmu"
folder. Now run "start background.bat" then run "Account Creater.bat" make a
username and press enter, then make a password, hit enter. for your server and for
email put w.e you want and press enter. "Flags,Ig you want BC, put 8 and 0 if
not>:" put 8, enter. then AZ, enter and ur set.

Now run your ArcEmu-logonserver.exe
once its loaded run ArcEmu-world.exe

STEP 5:
CHANGING YOUR REALMLIST
go into your wow folder and look for "Realmlist.wtf", select open with (if you've
already set it to open with notpad) and select notepad or select open and choose
open file from a list, scan threw the programs until you find "notepad" and select
okay.

It should look like this:
set realmlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
set patchlist us.version.worldofwarcraft.com

change it to:
set realmlist 127.0.0.1
set patchlist us.version.worldofwarcraft.com

Save it and close.

STEP 6:
(PLEASE DO NOT SHUT OFF THE MUSIC WE NEED IT ON FOR THE FUTURE, REMEMBER THAT
BEFORE U SHUT DOWN UR SERVER!)
Now we're gonna run our wow.exe
Login with your new user//password
YOUR NOW A GM!
heres a list of all the GM commands:

You might wanna use HeidiSQL to manage your server. ITS FREE!

Notice MySQL version usage* on the right, i don't like the new one either.
ALRIGHT SO UR SERVER IS SET-UP! CLOSE IT ALL OFF AND RUN "shutdown mysql password
is root.bat" in the Arcemu Folder you can rename it to "shutdown mysql.bat"

STEP 7:
Now we've backed up wow a few times but now i just want you to copy and put your
second wow into that resource folder, call it "WoW Ver1" or w.e you wana call your
mod.

STEP 8:
Now, install MyWarCraftStudio, we're gonna call it MyWC from now on. Open MyWC,
click file, select open. And now your gonna jump to "WoW Ver1" go into the folder
called "data" and select "common.MPQ". Give it a few seconds.

STEP 9:
Now minimize MyWC or close it if your PC doesnt have the Vitual Memory.
Go to your resources and open "Noggit_1.3.rar", extract the folder to "WoW Ver1" folder.Now that its extracted I want you to go to the folder called "Noggit" in "WoW Ver1".

STEP 10:
Run "noggit.exe" YEPPIE! hit maximize, the sides might not stretch if your on a widescreen monitor/TV/Projector.
Now I don't recomend messing around just yet, follow the instructions.
Select "(Kalimdor) Crossroads" It'll load for a few seconds. IF IT DID NOT BRING YOU TO THE BARRENS PLEASE HIT THE X TO CLOSE AT THE TOP CORNER AND REPEAT THIS STEP!
I'm sorry but I'm not a programmer and a lot of people have messed with Noggit and hosted it. If I can find a more reliable Noggit Ill post the link.

STEP 11:
Alright you should now be looking at the Xroads.

W Forward
S Backwards
A Side-step Left
D Side-step Right
Q UP
E Down

Hold the Right mouse button to rotate your screen

Have a look around Don't fool around with anything unless you kno wat your doing!

Once again I'm sorry if you cannot do these functions restart Noggit and repeat.

Step 12:
Close Noggit and go to MyWC (Reopen it if you closed it)
Now we;re going to have a look at the tilesets
Click and open the "Tileset" tree and then open up "Barrens"
Look at the tiles cause they're going bye-bye!
Just click them and you can preview them!
Once your done close it.

DO NOT DO ANYTHING WITH "MYWC" BESIDES WHAT I'VE SAID TO DO!

STEP 13:
Now I want you to go into resources and copy "SFMpq.exe" and extract "WinMPQ.zip" to your data folder in the wow folder "...\WoW Ver1\Data\" We're gonna do a test to get you to better understand this!

STEP 14:
Run WinMPQ and I want you to click the button that says "New" and I want you to save it under your data folder in the wow folder "...\WoW Ver1\Data\" and call it "Test01", SAVE. Now your looking at an empty MPQ archive. Now have "...\WoW Ver1\Data\" open in explorer ("Windows key" + E)

You should notice that your MPQ archive is not there, IDK why this happens but I'll show you how to fix this.

Right click on the background of the "Data" folder and select "New" and then Select "Text Document" Call it "HELLOWORLD.txt" now open it and I want you to put a nickname, the date and explain wat your doing, this is only a practice archive.

My first MPQ Archive

Now save it and close, now goback to WinMPQ and I want you to "Add", it should open your "Data" folder if not please find you way to "...\WoW Ver1\Data\". Now select "HELLOWORLD.txt". That message that pops up i want you to just hit OK, ill explain that in a moment. [ALSO NOTE THAT YOUR ARCHIVE IS NOW SAVED AND VISIBLE IN EXPLORER, THIS IS HOW U FIX THAT PROBLEM!]

Now you'll notice that there's now 2 files in your archive, theres your text document "HELLOWORLD.txt" and something called a "(listfile)", a "(listfile)" is something blizzard uses to keep track of everything in the MPQ archive without having to fully load the archive.What I want you to do now is double click the "(listfile)". "Open With" will pop-up, i want you to scan through the programs and find "Notepad".Told ya, now what we're going to do is test the "(listfile)", please close "(listfile)" in notepad.I want you to go to your "Data" folder in explorer and create a new "Text document"

Right-click
New> Text Document

I want you to title this text document and call it "ListTest01.txt", notice we didnt put anything in this file ("ListTest01.txt"), we dont need to.

Now back to your WinMPQ, I want you to click "Add" and now find your "ListTest01.txt", press Ok. Now I want you to reopen "(listfile)". Now we have our 2 files. Close "(listfile)" in notepad. Goto WinMPQ and I want you to Right-click on "ListTest01.txt" select rename, Call it "ListTest02.txt" (remember to include".txt") now i want you to open "(listfile)" once again. Everytime you modify the archive files WinMPQ automatically updates the (listfile).

Before I go on; when you Right-click on a file in WinMPQ u can "OPEN" the file temporarily, you can also extract a file to a designated area on your PC. WinMPQ Compresses files much like .Zip .Tar .Rar so when you extract the file becomes larger. Another command from this action is "Delete".
Do not touch the "Change Locale ID"

NOTE PLEASE STILL HAVE THE FILES IN UR MPQ ARCHIVE (DONT DELETE):
(listfile)
HELLOWORLD.txt
LISTTEST02.txt

STEP 15:
Alright now that you kno the basics of WinMPQ lets have a look at its Mentor, ShadowFlare Mpq Control (SFMpq.exe). Run "SFMpq.exe", please make sure it is in your "Data" folder.

Now to start we're gonna try Extracting with it.
Extract comand is lower-case "e"
type "e"
now space
"e "
type in the name of your mpq archive and space
"e Test01.mpq"
So we done so far <command> <archive_name>

now we want to extract the (listfile) so type "(listfile)" next
"e Test01.mpq (listfile)"

Now we've done :
<command> <archive_name> <packed_name>
for extracting theres 4 variables we've done 3 of 4

Extract file: mpq e <archive_name> <packed_name> [target_directory]
<command> = e
<archive_name> = Test01.mpq
<packed_name> = (listfile)

For [target_directory] we could put C:/ which would make it extract the file to that location but if you do not put anything it well extract to the folder its in, our is the "Data" folder ("...\WoW Ver1\Data\")so right now we're going to just have to type:
e Test01.mpq (listfile)
Now hit enter, the program will do its job and exit. it exits after everytask.

If you look at your "Data" folder in explorer you will see that we now have our file "(listfile)"
I want you to double click it and open it with notepad. You'll now see what I meant by not having to load the whole archive to see what files are in your MPQ. In notepad if you press "CTRL+F" the find window pops up, type in the name of what your looking for and you've got it quick and easy!

Hmm wat step is this oh ya.

STEP 16:
Now we're gonna try importing, create a new Text Document in your Data folder,
Call it "ImportTest1and2.txt", now reopen "SFMpq.exe"

type:
a Test01.MPQ ImportTest1and2.txt ImportTest1and2.txt

Now we're going to double check that its in there, go to WinMPQ "Test01.MPQ", our file is there and its in alphabetical order, if not reopen "Test01.MPQ" in Winmpq, you may have done something wrong if it isnt showing up. Repeat importing with "SFMpq.exe".
Now open "ImportTest1and2.txt" in WinMPQ its got no text, close it.
Go to Data and open the original "ImportTest1and2.txt" type "Test2" save and close.
now reopen "SFMpq.exe" once again and reimport it to our mpq. Have a look at it in WinMPQ and you'll notice that it override the file no problem.

STEP 17:
Creating subdirectories in an MPQ
Create a new Text doc and call it ImportTest345.txt
Now what were going to do is open "SFMpq.exe" and import "ImportTest345.txt", double check in winmpq to see if its in there.
Now where gonna change this up a little bit.
In "SFMpq.exe" type the following
a Test01.MPQ ImportTest345.txt Test4\ImportTest345.txt
Check WinMPQ again, if for w.e reason it didnt show press F5
now you'll notice that it put the file in there with a slash, this slash is the system blizz uses to orginaize there files.Now in WinMPQ hit Add, pick our ImportTest345.txt again, now when the window appears dont hit OK.

we're going to create this into a subdirectory, type Test5\

Have a look at it. "\" backslash marks each folder, please remember this for future referance.

STEP 18:
GLUE SCREEN MUSIC (Title screen music)
Go into your resources folder and look for "PACKAGE.RAR", extract it to our Data folder.
Open MyWC, hit Pack, then edit MPQ archive and pick common.MPQ, its gonna be a moment since its a few GBs. WinMPQ cannot open this MPQ, so don't try. Now look for a folder called "Sound" then under the tree select "Music" followed by "GlueScreenMusic" you'll notice 3 mp3's we want to replace the "wow_main_theme.mp3", just have a look we're about to over ride it.

Please extract "PACKED.RAR" to your "data" folder.

From the files we extracted in "PACKED.RAR" you'll notice we got a "wow_main_theme.mp3". So in MyWC click on "wow_main_theme.mp3" so its highlighted and right click, pick delete, we dont want it. Now Highlight the folder called "GlueScreenMusic", right click and select "Import File.." now in our Data Folder select the "wow_main_theme.mp3". Now "wow_main_theme.mp3" should be under the folder "GlueScreenMusic", click the Save disk. It saves and closes the MPQ now fire up WoW.

STEP 19:
Arlight so we have MUSIC, lets get closer to noggit.
You'll notice a folder called "Barrens" from PACKED.RAR, in there the replacement textures for the barrens. Reopen "common.mpq" in MyWC, now open this tree:

+Barrens

you can preview all the textures, but it doesnt matter because now I want you to delete all the .blp files in "Barrens". DO NOT DELETE THE FOLDER JUST THE FILES SPECIFIED.

Now that every file is deleted, highlight the folder "Barrens" in MyWC. Right-click, select import file. Point it to our "Barrens" folder in "Data", inside the "Barrens" folder add every single file, don't add duplicates. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE 26 REPLACEMENT BLP'S IN MYWC UNDER "BARRENS".

Start noggit, once its up click (Kalimdor) Crossroads.

STEP 20:

Now this looks a little ugly, in noggit just left click on that red/orangy terrain that looks like the original barrens rock.

Your tile "triangle" should be over this rock (the circle, i kno its hard to see.). Now have a loock at #1

1 - tileset\the badlands\barrensrockligher.blp ,,
Blizzard decided to save time and ensure file size was low.
We're just gonna locate this in the "common.MPQ" using MyWC, please close noggit.

Follow the tree:
+tileset
+the badlands
badlandsrock.blp

Also find the shadow tile, Noggits isn't showing this file as selected since the tile only changes when a shadow is ontop of it.

I've included some nice snow to throw over it which will blend the rocks nicely.
Out of the folders we extracted from "PACKED.RAR" we have a folder called "the badlands" and inside is its replacements. Go back to MyWC and delete these two "badlandsrock.blp" and "badlandsrock_s.blp". Place close attention to the tile names.

Now that both files are deleted please click on "the badlands" so that its highlighted, now import from "the badlands" folder. Reopen noggit and have a look.

Step 21:
Alright ya this is looking pretty sweet, I don't like all the grass tho.
Keep Noggit open, please hit ESC. You should be back at the start screen, click Crossroads again, but dont move around, leave it as is.
PRESS "C", this is the Map Chunk editor.
PLEASE REALIZE THAT IF U MAKE A MISTAKE THERE IS NO UNDO AND U WILL HAVE TO REDRAW WHAT U SCREWED UP OR COVER IT UP WELL!

Press "u" to exit.

Before you fool around I'm gonna explain some of this:
Bush Settings:

Hardness; it determinds how the edge of your brush blens 0 is smooth and translucent, 100 would be no transparency.

Red is 100 hardness, blue is less hardness.

Radius determinds the size of the brush.

Pressure controls how fast your brush paints, if its high presure you will make the red circle very quick, where low presure is like an air brush.

Your "Texture Palette" chooses what tile we're going to put on, click Load Texture. Please note that only Textures in your MPQ are available.

Step 22:
When your satisfied and you wanna give this a test we gotta reload your map into arcemu. Go into your wow folder and restart your Ad.exe, let it reload all the maps. Boot up arcemu. Now I'm gonna get shit-stormed in the support forum..

Sharing your game; all people connecting to your 2.4.3 server must have a copy of your common.mpq that you created in their Data folder. EVERYONE MUST HAVE 2.4.3! 3.58 GB is the size of myn, figure it out..
