2 Separate WoW directories ?

Hey everyone; just a quick question regarding a solution to this little issuee im having.

Right now i have world of warcraft: Wrath of the litch king installed and patched up to 3.1.1; unfortunatly i want to use certain applications that arnt compatable with this patch.
So my question is;
Is there anyway i can install one World of warcraft the burning crusade and one world of warcraft wotlk. In seperate directories ?

I have tried all the logical ways; to no success.
Any ideas on how i could achive this ?

Copy / Paste ?

Make fresh install.
Update WoW untill you have the first version you need, then Copy/Paste, update, etc...

install tbc, copy/paste, update one with wotlk?
