Chances of gettin an Economy Exploitation ban lifted?

My account was banned today for economy exploitation and the only thing I can think of that might flag that type of activity is me paying back a friend gold he let me barrow over a year ago by inviting him into guild and letting him withdraw it from the bank. Other than that I just play the auction house like most people do. Not even buying low and selling high but just waiting for the market value of a certain item to drop and then listing all mine at a higher price. If this has ever happened to someone when they have not gone against any of the listed terms of use what are the chances they will reverse the ban? Of course a few hours on the phone gave me nothing than a few transfers for answers that I was never given other than to just reply to the email I received and that I would get a reply by in ~14days..



Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have put 3 years into this account and never done anything against blizzs' terms..in raw funds thats just over $600 for just game time and cd keys..

Sounds like blizz screwd up because none of the things you said would make them ban you. My guess would be you got hacked and a goldseller was moving stuff on your account.

I would just tell the truth and submit one of these: Blizzard Support If you have another account you can bitch about it on the customer service forum and rarely the gm's will personally look at your situation or see that somebody important does. I've seen it happen before.

Not much else you really can do except keep trying to get them to review it.

Thats the thing..I don't know why someone would hack my account but leave the 30,000+g intact and untouched...so I really dont think it was hacked..

I replied to the original account closure email blizz sent me and told them the only thing that comes to mind is the 5000g I put in a guild bank for a friend to take..and asked them to elaborate on why my account was closed..

you mean you listed many items at once ? maybe they thought you using bots to farm items ? and ban you for that

If Blizzard will ban for that, I should be banned many times over. I usually post 1000+ auctions. (With no botting, I might add)

I have also paid several of my friends several thousand golds to thei various mounts.

I think something is else is going on with your account. Maybe suggest that you would buy an authenticator and then see if whatever has been going on with the account stops as when whoever did it couldn't log into it anymore?

Tbh, dont expect much action from blizzard

They are to lazy to really figure things out and just ban if they THINK something is wrong, even if they dont know it for sure.

Ya from everything I have read I'm not holding my breathe , If I were botting or selling/buying gold on this account I would have expected this. This account however has been completely clean thats whats really grinding my gears , and I am 100% positive it was never compromised. Oh well going on 48hrs with no response from blizz so will just have to wait and see, I hope at the very least the will tell me what exactally got my account banned. Also from what I have read they do not give refunds for future gametime paid for any reason, just paid for 3months the day before it was banned. Those 3 months don't even start until next monday so I don't see any reason why they would not refund it. Prolly gonna dispute it with my CC company...

If the 3 months haven't started yet it shouldn't have charged on your card yet and if your account was banned then it automatically takes it off if it has not started yet so you should be fine on that.

I know cause i paid for 6 months with a visa giftcard and then got banned but since my first free month was still on it never charged my card.

This has happened to guildmates of mine who also were incorrectly accused of exploiting the economy. They got it lifted after appealing it.

Blizzard often ban people who are just loaning / getting paid back money or playing the auction house because they believe that the account is being controlled by gold farmers. Send an email to blizzard explaining your situation and im sure it will be lifted.

Going on 72hrs with no reply..starting to really loose all hope from what I have read blizzard rarely actually replies to ban appeals and if they do its just automated emails. This is complete BS they are net nazi's never realized how bad until now I guess. Put over $300 into their game and they can just snap their fingers and take it all away with no compensation. Prolly just gonna go back to scamming accounts and flipping them in a few hours..Just pissed that I was best in slot on 3 toons and ready for 3.1

Just send them an email, and even if they dont reply not all hope is lost it is just a 3 day ban not perm.

Usually they only give 72 hour bans for this.. did you have prior offenses towards your account.

But I would just send them another email or call them. Calling them seems to be a better option because then you at least a guaranteed service/communication of some sort. This happened to a friend of mine, they most likely thought that your account was under control by a gold farmer. you just need to tell them you never exploited the economy and that they made a mistake. Once they review the files your account should be cleared.

Naw this account has never had a warning or anything...I tried calling right after I first got the email but Account Administration cannot be reached over the phone , I was transfered from billing to customer service and all they could tell me was to reply to the original email or submit a webform to contest the ban , I did both just a waiting game now I guess..
