red question marks replacing my items

I logged on my account today and there are red question marks replacing a good amount of my items. Does anyone know why this is?

Try exiting out of WoW and starting it back up.

If nothing else, try the file you can use to fix them in the WoW file (the name escapes me ATM)

Or as a last resort- reinstall
