Secret Q Problem

Hi all

As you can see i am a newb here, so i hope i am posting in the right place after having read off the FAQ's.

Here is my problem, and i would be most grateful for some advice as i honestly do not know what to do now.

Two years ago (almost two years anyhow), i took over a WoW account from a friend - a friend who actually lives in another country from me. I have my own account as well, so all in all, i have only these two accounts.

I have the full name and surname of my friend who i took the account over from, the email is on MY email address (not his), the payment credit card is on my card, obviously i have the account name and password... but now i wish to move two characters off that account - i have created an all new account, but when i go to do the transfer, it asks me for the answer to the secret question.

Now he did tell me the answer, but he has always said he does not remember how he spelt the answer. I contacted him this past week and he still maintains that is the answer but he does not know how he spelt it.

Then i asked him to fax me a copy of his ID and he tells me he is broke and doesnt have access to a fax or money to pay for a fax to me.

What can i do? I really need these characters moved (well the one at least), and now i am suck.

If i phone Blizz this week, can i tell them i know the answer but i cannot remember how it was spelt? Will they help me?

Any advice would be appreciated

Edit to add: This is an EU account, so Battle.net merge is not yet up and running, and who knows if that will work anyways?

Yeah, they'll probably change the awnser for you, since you can provide an awnser that looks much like it (and your story sounds pretty legit)
On the other hand, some biatch might pick up the phone to assist you and give you NOTHING until you sent in a copy of your ID (which your friend can't send you)
Depends on how lucky you are.

(if you're calling blizz, and the first time was a failcall.. call them again and hope for someone else to pick up the phone )

My story is legit, i just hope he did not lie to me about the secret answer question. If so im buggered. It was an honest transaction if you wanna call it that, i have been paying for the account for almost two years now - and after reading these forums im suddenly scared he will go and try get his account back :confused:
