How Can I Play EU - I've got US WoW.

Ok, so I've gotten a couple EU accounts via my phisher and I couldn't find any post on this so I decide to ask myself.


Is there a way to simply switch my WoW files from US to EU and back again?

I'd like to check the accounts I've phished for gold to sell but I'm not sure how I'd go about this. If someone can point me in the direction of a guide or tell me how, that would be great. I couldn't find a guide on MMO.

Change to the EU realmlist. Search around for it.

Data\enGB

And change the

Set realmlist eu.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
to US / EU

Ok so I managed to find my file, it was called "realmlist" inside of my enUS folder.

Anyways, I opened it and this is what was in it:

set realmlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
set patchlist us.version.worldofwarcraft.com
set realmlistbn ""
set portal us

So I'm not that slow and I understand you said change the top line.. but do I gotta change anything else along with that.. or just the first line to US/EU?

You set the patchlist to US and it won't update. Period.

The problem with playing a US/EU version with the opposite version is when patches come out you're a day behind or ahead. So, either way you can't play for a day. Unless you're lucky and the patch is released ahead of time. But, if you're playing EU on US version you're just screwed for a day.

I run EU on my computer, but have US characters. I'm mainly US, but I don't really feel like spending the 4hrs to install/update WoW to the US version.

Maybe I'll do it next patch.
