Namechange QuestionS.

I have a question about namechange.



A. During a namechange, is it possible to decide if none know, or if everyone knows? (Friendlist kept/unkept)
B. If so - is it possible to decide who?
C. Can it be a 100% friendlist wipe, like if you newly transfered character?

P.S, these questions is because I seen two friends done a namechange and still had in friendlist.

c: yes, but you have to delete the character first, have a gm restore it and AFTER that rename the character. The deleting will wipe your character from all friend- and ignorelists. Of course they will still know that you are "gone". The character-restoring isn't a big deal nowadays. You don't even have to tell them a reason.

If you just change your name, friend- and ignorelists will get updated to your new name.

"Reroll" character and get the other back then get namechange?

Character A level 70 gets deleted, now Character A level 1 is on the list.
Restore Character A70 which now turns to Character B?

Charakter A level 1 doesn't just appear as the old character on others friendlist. It's a new entity. Doesn't matter if you create him with the same name/class/race as the old one. Your friends would have to re-add him to their list manually.

If you level the level1-character far enough up you could restore the original lvl70 AND have him renamed in the process. I assume it's up to the GM to decide which one is going to be renamed.

Maybe you could tell what exactly you are trying to accomplish.

So I can ask a friend to make a low level character and he/she level it while I restore - free friendwipe and name?
