MySQL Setup Error

I uninstalled MySQL 6.0. Here recently I have tried reinstalling the program but I get an error message at the end of the configuration wizard. It tells me that it cannot apply security settings due to not being able to connect to the server.

Any clues on how I can reinstall MySQL and get the database working again after uninstalling it? Thanks.
