Gm tag scam?

Hello, iam new here, and i dont know where to post this therad, so i will try here. Pls do not flame me or any kind of stuf because iam new.

I have seen many times players, got a <gm> tag! And i really wanna know where to get it.

And yes ofc i have tryed to sharah it, here on mmo, and google. But i cant find it, and maby i dont know where to sharh or just cant find it.

So it would be really great if you some1 could find a guide to me on how to do it.

On retail servers?

Sometimes when GMs assist players, they will log on to that player's account when they're offline and then give their character a GM tag to restore items or do whatever. However, sometimes they will simply forget to remove the tag, and thus when they tell the player they can get back on, they still have the tag.

Strangely, this happens more than you might think. I guess GMs just spend so much time helping so many players that they forget to do things a lot.

Having the tag only gives you one special power: you can talk to both factions, Horde and Alliance. You receive no other GM powers or abilities. Just a "Blizz" tag and the ability to talk to both factions.

Also, if someone gets the tag by accident and then tries to impersonate a GM, they will face a long suspension or possibly a permanent ban. If this happens to you, you should report yourself and say you need the tag removed.
